    removing deep scratch

Can anyone recommend a good product to remove a deep scratch? Ive used the poorboy products before I was wondering if there is anything better. I think the scratch may be to deep to buff out so I was also thinking of using the langka kit. Any suggestions are helpful.

    Thanks

There is no removing a deep scratch, only repair.

What color is your car? metallic? Where is the scratch at and can you feel it with your finger nail?

The Langka is a good system but really only on rock chip type of holes IMO

As for the PB line...its about as good as it gets for quality, money and durability! IMO

One thing to keep in mind.
You don`t really remove the scratch, you bring the paint around it down to the same level.
Slight marring needs very little paint removal. A deep scratch may have you removing enough paint to compromise the clearcoat.
Deep scratches that catch a fingernail usually require paint to fix.
The Langka process has been a mixed bag for me. Sometimes I was happy with the results, other times I didn`t have that good of luck. As with most things, practice would probably help. One nice thing with using the Langka if you don`t like the results, you can remove the touchup paint with the Langka and start over.

I agree with both responses. If its as deep as you say it sounds like you need to have it repaired. you could try using a very thin detail brush and apply it a small coat at a time and layer it, and if its higher at the end, wet sand it down and polish it out.
