Is this wax a cleaner wax or no? I searched and got contradictory answers.

You can find posts by some very knowledgeable Meguiar`s people that say it is not a cleaner wax.

You can also find posts by some very knowledgeable Meguiar`s people that say Gold Class does have some very slight cleaning ability.

My personal feeling is that any cleaning ability it may have is because of whatever is used as the carrier of the wax and I wouldn`t expect it to remove oxidation, previous wax/sealant or do any paint correction. I would only use it on paint that was in good condition to start with.

You don`t have any location shown in your profile, but I think you are in Georgia. Given that you are in the U.S., I have to think you are located somewhere in the vicinity of a Wal*Mart. (Isn`t everybody?)
If you are still shopping for a product, Meguiar`s NXT 2.0 would probably be a better choice of product and it is available OTC at Wal*Mart.
If you already have the Gold Class, it should do a decent job for you.
Gold Class always looked good, but it didn`t seem to last very long. As I remember, it was pushing it to make 4 weeks.

I agree with Charles... GC is getting a little old (I find) but does an OK job. In terms of durability, meh, not so great. I would definitely go for NXT Paste or NXT 2.0.

    Re: Megs Gold Class Liquid

For a good Meguiar`s carnuba, I recommend the #26 meguiars mirror glaze. I am using it and I am happy with the results.

As a matter of fact, I wash my car and clayed it yesterday. Afterwards, I apply a coat of Klasse AIO and then two coats of Megs #26 carnuba and my car is pretty shiny.

As I recall, the GC is not trim friendly. It probably would be a good idea to try to keep it away from the black plastic on the vehicle.
