ProPolish question - novice question

I`ve never polished a car before and I`m looking for some advice.
I`m not looking to remove swirl marks or do any repair to the clearcoat/paint, just polish it to prepare for a good sealant and wax.
My plan is to apply Poorboys Pro Polish with a Porter Cable 7424 and a LC White Pad.

Is the Pro Polish a good choice?
How long should I work the Pro polish with the PC? I`ve read that you should work most polishes until they break down. Will this polish break down?

yes, you have the right product for the job you want to tackle .... put a small amount on the pad, spread it around at low speed, and then turn it up to about 5 - 5.5 and work it until it practically disappears. If you use too much, just go on to the next panel

Yes, ProPolish is a great choice for what you have made plans to do. It is very versatile polish. It is one of my favorite paint cleaners.

Is it necessary to clay prior to the ProPolish given its cleaning properties, or will it take care of most of that stuff itself?

If the paint needs it, I clay before every polish....

actually i have done side by side testing of clay vs PP and PP was easier and did larger areas quicker
It also saved a step

yes it is awesome on glass ... just spread it out, let it haze and then buff off .... you should do glass by hand, but the rest can be done either way

By hand on glass just in case you pick up a piece of dirt, you wouldn`t want to grind it in and also PP will chemically clean the glass without having to work it in
