    New Wax out (FANTASTIC)

    NXT Generation Tech Wax® 2.0

Heard a lot about this wax. Used it for the first time today. I have one word. INCREDIBLE - it is now my new wax of choice.

    - Heard a lot about it`s longevity.
    - Wow what a shine, super high gloss.
    - Rubs off really easy as well.

I`ve seen it in stores for as low as 14 bucks.
Meguiar`s site sells it for 17 bucks.

I agree. Did my wife`s black 07 CTS with the stuff and used my new G110 and then followed with Meguiar`s synthetic detailer. That was 4 weeks, 4 washes and a beach trip ago and still looks great. No spider webs, swirls and very easy to remove.

In my usage it made some colors darker and muted flake. I do think it`s good but it depends on the color it`s being used on. It does hide/cover imperfections temporarily which can be a plus or a minus depending on how you look at it. I see it as decent for the money but it isn`t fantastic in my book. Overall a good value.

Interesting observation. I have used it on a couple black cars, and i was great. I`ll have to check out other colors.

please tell me.. whats the definition of "muted Flake"?

    Thanks for your 2 cents.

Where the flake does not sparkle or pop but you can still see it.

Still hoping for that to show up at Walmart as part of their 7 in 1 kit and try out on one of my cars.

For me it made solid colors (no flake) like red, black, even white, look spectacular. I`m not dunning it at all.

I did half of my hood (Redondo Red Pearl Honda) with DG #105 and half with 2.0. The next day in the sun both halves looked marvelous but the flake was notably brighter on the side done with #105. The "shade" of the paint was lighter than the side done with 2.0 if that makes sense. I used DG #501 on the hood twice as a cleaner then went back with #105. The flake was restored and equal on both sides and the color itself was lighter as it was prior to the 2.0.

Hardly scientific, just my observations. I would hazard a guess that 99% of folks that use off the shelf products would never notice what I observed.

Next I used it on a sand colored RAV4 that did have flake, same 1/2 & 1/2 hood application. In the sun.....no difference whatsoever that my old eyes could see so I completed the hood with 2.0. Great look & reflections. Durability is an unknown as of now.

FWIW both hoods had previously received three coats of Opti Seal a week or so prior. Both got a wipe down with Poorboy`s S&W prior to my informal test.

So, for yours truly, I will use it on light colored flake or solid colors but not on dark colored flake in the future. I`m anxious to use it on a silver/light gray flake but that opportunity has not presented itself yet. I consider it a good/very good product when used on the right color. Good value but not an exceptional product for all colors. I do consider DG #105 an exceptional product which is what led me to the A&B comparison.

I`m not disputing what Luxury detail had to say, just adding my 2 cents worth.
    Just one old dude`s thoughts........

    Re: New Wax out (FANTASTIC)

When i used this stuff on a black car cleaned with D.I water, i worked great. Then i tried a waterless product.
I used "Detailers Pride 4-n-1" on it and then NXT to wax it. It smeared everywhere and was a pisser to take off.
Something about the D.P and the NXT - it quickly becomes a huge headache.

    Anyone else notice this?

    thanks

    Re: New Wax out (FANTASTIC)

This is the only wax (it`s really a sealant) that I`m using now. If the surface is properly prepped, it will last 8 weeks easily. It also gives the paint a whole new look.

To tell you the truth, I`m only using Meg`s stuff now.

#105 and NXT2.0 is all you really need!

I had a lot of problems with LSP`s and polishes after using 4in1.

    It`s the 4in1. Promise you.

    Re: New Wax out (FANTASTIC)

interesting Justin, i figured. I have a lot of clients that don`t get their cars to dirty during the week. So it`s fast and easy to use 4-n-1 on them. Problem is when i go to wax with 2.0, it`s a major headache... So i am forced to use the "Pinnacle Liquid Souv" on them. I love the D.P and how it works so well and don`t wanna switch it up. But I absolutely love the way the 2.0 works and looks on these cars I`m doing. awww well , such is life.

So, you say it`s like a sealent eh?
do you notice a difference after washing a car weekly for a month? does the 2.0 seem to still be working and not rubbed off?

The PLS seems to come off fast after washing weekly for a month (which i think is the norm for many waxes).

I would wipe the paint down with an IPA mix if you`re going applying an LSP after 4in1.
