    PB Wheel sealant

I`ve been using the PB wheel sealant for about 6 months now. Terriffic product in my book. I was thinking if you let it sit on your wheels for 30-60 minutes like PB EX will it give a richer color and more durability? I`ve been putting one coat on right after another should I let the wheels cure before putting another application on?

    Re: PB Wheel sealant

It never hurts to let it cure for a few hours and I would guess that it would be more durable when given time to cure for a little while at least. It seems like the magic number of coats of Wheel Sealant is 3 .

It never hurts to give a sealant more time to cure and keeping it dry for as long as possible after application will also extend its durability

    Re: PB Wheel sealant

I just bought a new set of wheels and I put my first coat of PB wheel sealant on them last night, I plan on doing 2 more today.

Would there be any adverse effects if I applied a coat of glaze or even Nattys Blue over the 3 coats of wheel sealant?

I don`t think that there would be any adverse effects, but I don`t believe that there would be any benefit either.
The heat that is generated by your wheels, would probably cause the NB to be gone in no time. I guess that you could try EX on there, but the WS looks great W/O any help

I would definitely NOT put Natty`s over the Wheel Sealant..it will attract brake dust and make them harder to maintain. Wax will get a little soft when it gets hot and then the brake dust will get imbedded into the wax

    Re: PB Wheel sealant

I love the PB Wheel Sealant. I also tried the DP Wheel Glaze and though it worked well, I think the PB product is superior.

I`ve not gone to the lengths that some have. I have only applied one coat and after a month or two do it again. I think multiple coats with cure time in between would probably worth the effort, I`ve just been too lazy.

My experience is that I used to use copious amounts of wheel cleaner and often had to buy more product. Since using the PB Wheel Sealant I use water and soap to clean the wheels and don`t have to use the wheel cleaners until its time to reapply the sealant.

Will any of the diluted APC`s that some use to clean rims remove or be too harsh for the sealants.

Eric- the best thing about wheel sealants is that all you need to do is rinse the wheel and maybe take a wash mitt to them-- the rims won`t need anything strong to clean because the sealant makes clean up very easy. If the rims don`t get clean with soap and water, then use any APC and then reapply the sealant.

    Re: PB Wheel sealant

9D4E420, I want to thank you for starting this thread.

I washed my car today and this post got me thinking about my wheels. It was a beautiful day here so I applied a coat of PB Wheel Sealant. I need to get one of those PB Calendars so I can mark down the dates I do things.

Anyway, after I was done the wheels sure looked great! I topped it off with a wipe down of PB S&G and the tires with Pinnacle Black Onyx.
