    DG problems

I just applied the 2nd coat of #105 and noticed that I can see
the bonding agent thru the 105. What did I do wrong?

Do you mean you can see bonding agent residue after you have removed the 105?
It is only a guess, but you probably used way too much bonding agent.
Even if you used way to much PBA, I would still have thought the 105 would have mixed with it so it should have been removed when you buffed off the 105.
Here again, work with one area or section until you learn how to correct whatever your problem is. Try some 105 in an area where you see the PBA. The 105 has some cleaners and I would think it would be able to remove whatever it is you are seeing. Unless what you are seeing is the hazing you had after polishing.

It`s definitely bonding agent...it`s in the same pattern that I applied the bonding agent. Of course, it had to be on the hood so it`s noticeable up close. I`m gonna have to deal with it cause the weather is gonna be making a turn for the worse in the next 48 hours.

allow it to cure and see if it goes away. you might have applied it too thick though and may need to remove it.

    Re: DG problems

If you could see the bonding agent when you applied it..you put to much on..it almost disappears when you apply it thin..also did you let the bonding agent set up..or did you go right to the sealant..you need the let the agent set up....in the colder weather it may take 45-60 minutes now..applying most sealants in cold weather takes time to set up now....

The cold weather prolongs the drying agents to flash...so longer wait times...

did you do a bonding agent for the second coat...if so you do not need to...only the first coat...

explain what you did as far as time between coats and how many times you used the bonding agent and how long you let the products sit and haze up before removing..may be able to help then

Why did you use the PBA for a second coat.
The second coat should of went on over the first coat with no PBA

The PBA went on first...I let it set up for about 30 minutes. I applied 105 then the next day I added a second coat of 105. I guess I put it on too thick.
I used DG when I first got the car it applied perfectly. I must`ve rushed it this time and also applied the PBA too thick.
Of course...now I have another problem. An 18 wheeler started up in the parking lot and spewed thick oily smoke and it settled on my car. Now I`ve got to go get some DG QD and try to get it off....hopefully it won`t be much of a problem though.

I`m constantly working to keep it looking good. Sometimes I wonder if I spend more time shining it or driving it
I do get quite a few compliments about the car, though.
