    Lightbulb Comparing Odor Removal Tools?

Well for some time I have been keeping my eyes open and have used the search feature to read other post I have read some suggestion some reviews as well as benefits and negatives…I have had some vehicle from mild to extreme case and usually I would do mild but anything more I figure wont improve that much or would take to much time and some wont pay for it so I need something better, less work is always good ; ) etc…

There a many setup I have been looking at if any have used this machine, please let me know, thank you

Ozone Generator= is a device which generates ozone molecules for dispersion into air, water, or both for various applications.

    There are three methods

    A. Corona Discharge
    B. Ultraviolet Discharge
    C. Cold Plasma

here is an example ive been looking athttp://www.detailcity.com/mobile-pro...generator.html

Interior Odor Fogger- A versatile odor control application tool. The Electro-Gen produces "DRY FOG" on the order of smoke itself rather than the damage causing wet particles produced by conventional mister and foggers.

This need to be mix with chemicals(chemical dependent)

Here an example ive been looking at Interior odor fogger http://topoftheline.com/elfog.html

Ionic Breeze- The Ionic Breeze Quadra is the new air purifier that Sharper Image has been pushing all over the place. It’s pretty cool in that it creates a “breeze” with no moving parts, just some charged wires and collection plates. The unit stands about two to three feet tall and can easily sit in the corner of a room.

For those who have these machine please comment plus how long have you had the unit and downtime with the unit what maintenance or any other info that may have slip my mind…

what have you been charging, also what made your final decision to purchase this and what to look for in any of this set up ...where did you purchase your units...

by the way my main use would be for automobiles but may use it from time to time in the house.....

thanks Fellas Looking forward to you Post

    Re: Comparing Odor Removal Tools?

I am a long time user of ozone machines. Purchased my first one 9 yrs. ago and bought another one last year. I have 2 different units: Electrolux and Ecoquest. That is all the info I know at the top of my head since I am home now and not the office. One thing for sure is the price has totally come down in the years. Thank goodness. Very happy with the effectiveness. Like anything else, there is no guarantees. Alot depends on the initial condition and the source of the malodor. Ozone is best on protein and organic odors. For best results, the interior should be completely detailed prior to use. I feel that by using a dry vapor cleaning machine coupled with the ozone works wonders. We charge $40 for the service. Typically you run the unit for 30min to an hour, then allow 20-30 minutes to air out. To date I have not had to service either unit, so I can`t comment on the maintenance.

I actually have just started researching the odor foggers and am also considering the one from www.topoftheline.com. I remember reading recently in PC&D(maybe AutoLaundry)(sorry, I read so many trade magazines) about the need to have both systems. Which prompted me to start researching. My concern would be if the fogger really serves as a masking agent. I would hope not considering the cost.

Don`t waste your money on the ionic breeze. Studies show that it is ineffectual. Just a great case of marketing. Certainly would not help us in detailing applications.

    Hope this helps some
