    TRC Rags to Riches

Definitely didn’t need another MF detergent (3) gallons of Towel Kleen, Griots and Mckee’s in reserve).

Had to see if this did what it says and works. With 32oz being $15-17 dollars and a gallon being 32.... well... got another gallon

Got a batch soaking. Will leave in for at least 24 hours.

    Review so far:

Strong soapy/perfume smell, not a fan. Was very thick (well thicker than griots). Water seem to tint a little brown with initial agitation.....

These i feel are the ultimate test. Carpros 2face. Used for Coating 2nd towels. Were actually beading and sheeting water at one point.

TRC does not state it will remove coating residue. Just Sio2 sealants, polymer sealants and waxes.

I will watch this closely since I have never purchased a microfiber detergent to date. This may just be the one.

So is this a P&S product-- with TRC putting their logo on the label?

Yeah TrC says they made it in conjunction with P&S. Suppose to be TrC exclusive

I`ve never really had an issue with needing anything more from the dedicated microfiber washes I`ve used. Did it stop me from picking this up during their Black Friday sale, nope.

    TRC Rags to Riches

I’ve soaked my towels in APC, Snappy Clean and deficated MF cleaners. All have worked to some degree..... nothing has touched those 2face.

Also My 16x16 and 28x20 PFM’s have seen alot of drying aids, TWC wet wax, Chemical guys afterwash, Ech20 merlins mix, PA Cosmic sprit, Kamikaze OC and mainly Ammo Hydrate. Their still good but dont perform like when they were new

Didn’t soak my 28x20 to compare drying afterwards

Good review. Anxious to hear more as more supply of Towel Kleen is nearly gone.

It looks promising so far. I soaked 4 pluffles overnight and washed them with more R2R. These towels became hydrophobic from drying aids and have just been sitting on the sidelines. I tried one of the towels and it is currently sucking up water.

The actually recommend soaking them to get the initial bulk of whatever is clogging them up. 2-4 ounces. Soak 12-36 hours it said in video

    Coatings=Crack:
Does Rags to Riches MF Detergent have a built-in fabric softener OR do you still do the White vinegar-add to the 1st rinse cycle of a 2-cycle rinse??
The 12-to-36-hour soak cycle sounds like a good idea for REALLY dirty microfibers, but I usually hand pre-wash my microfibers in APC (Super Clean) and hand rinse and wring then out. Yes, I am only doing about 10-12 microfibers, so for some professional who may have 24-36 or more microfibers to wash/clean, the pre-soak-in-a-bucket makes much more sense.

By the way, thanks C=C for doing this TRC/P&S R2R MF Detergent (my vote for an acronym TRC-R2R, since it is supposedly "exclusive") product review and posting the pics you did. Very informative!!

If you cannot remove the coating from a microfiber, are these considered a disposable item (the microfiber cloth so used) when coating??
Those CarPro 2face are about $4.00 a piece if you buy the 10-count pack; not exactly "cheap"; just the cost of doing business with a coating.

Then there is this debate of: "Do these microfiber-specific detergents really clean THAT much better than high-end laundry detergents, like Persil, Tide HD, or Dreft (Yes, the baby diaper detergent) IE, is it worth the money or cost-effective to buy and use a dedicated microfiber detergent?
If it is, which microfiber detergent is the best and which one is the most cost-effective? (Calling Loach; Do you want to do one of your scientific-based experiments on microfiber detergents?)

Holy crap I had no idea Towel Kleen is up to $30 on Amazon, I think it was $18 when I bought it...of course that could have been in the previous decade...(no, it was 5 years ago according to Amazon). I think pre-soaking in an APC...I mean OPC is list $40, $36 in the Autopia store...heck, I might even try that as a MF wash, I`ve used a bit of it as a pre-wash (in the washing machine) to reduce ONR staining.
