Re: Is Graphene the next big thing for coatings?
Looks like I`ve missed a lot of action about graphene while I`ve been mia! My takeaway is if there are decent graphene products that are competitive with ceramic coatings then that`s a win. Seems like the claims of reducing surface temp haven`t held up in the products I`ve seen tested.
Re: Is Graphene the next big thing for coatings?
@budget just saw your YouTube video on graphene detailer. Since you have had some time to play around with it...is it something you would buy again or is it something that you would reach for over other products. It’s an expensive product.

I did find it quite nice, if`n I wasn`t a PA/Kami junkie I`d give it a go again. Although my glass is done in Gtechniq G1, it always provided a little boost for some refreshed performance in that area. It adds some slickness to the surface of paint too if you like that.
I have some left, maybe 1/3rd of a bottle (bought about a year ago, have no idea of shelf life) and if ya wanna give it a try, PM me your address and I`ll send it to ya if you`re in continental US.

Adams put out their video on their coating. Don`t see them aggressively marketing theirs.
Strange turn of events I did receive an email from Ethos in regards to them taking down comments from my video and the Chicago auto pros.

A shout out to Budget I appreciate you sending me the product. This forum has good folks. I’m looking forward to using it sending you this back
It’s called a Cream Coating (clear gel) from Einstein, it does harden and form normal high spots. where you either have to get them off by hand or machine with a polish, 8 minute work time, is naphtha based has Cquartz smell, it flashes and claims to be 9h I have no way of knowing this it may be true it is quite durable. Sheets water better than other coatings. And advised not to wash for 7 days. It claims 12-24 months durability. I’m not sure on the durability myself I have it on my roof only for under a year.
The product is pretty cool to work with it. It’s like a crumbly jello that turns to liquid once you body heat from your hand applying the coating starts to transfer to the applicator.

Hopefully it is still good. Mine became unusable.

Tossed my bottle the other day. Became unusable. Only had a 1 year life span once it’s opened.

Does this help? I`m guessing channel is "Budget Plan" but my YouTube skills are about as good as my glass-cleaning skills

Was it an apology for them being an overly-sensitive `butt-inski` or a sad attempt at justifying the intrusion?

Thanks...Kinda a "half-n-half" explanation/justification that is more reasoned than I woulda thought. Perhaps they have someone else taking care of this end of the biz.

This Larry talking about his new Reflex pro coating. I didnt see link in Bio for purchase so thought it would be Ok to post
In the end he speaks to Graphene and why he doesnt use it. The disclaimers he gives is kinda hilarious. You can definitely see the “passion” graphene has behind it and how people will get agitated quickly.
One thing i like is he speaks to additives about his coating. He speaks the same of graphene.
Says technically not a graphene coating. But a coating with a graphene additive.

I guess time will tell with ongoing use and real world testing. And through the coming years, a huge onslaught of Graphene or Graphene oxide based / infused or eventually an actual Carbon /Graphene coating and what next Boron .. unobtanium coatings? I guess like someone said.. who cares really what`s in it as long as it delivers.
