And a graphene infused traditional car wash shampoo too.

On exterior trim I found it would run all over the paint. It would either sweat out of the rubber in the hot sun or dissolve in the rain. Big mess. Never again for me.

    20% off right now.

Adams is going to be infusing their ceramic products with graphene to have their own maintenance line. Wouldn`t surprise me if they are one of the first to do so.

Oh boy here we go again. He wasn`t happy with the chicago auto pros video so in response he releases this video to prove how great the coating is.

He is something else saying he tends to stay out of comparison videos yet he posts in the chicago auto pros video and now this one lol.

Unfortunately he is the face of their brand.

I see this as damage control to the Chicago auto pros video to not hurt their sales to cash in on the graphene buzzword.

It`s just just not a good look...let the product speak for itself. At some point (and maybe we`re there) ya just get tired of hearing from the the same mfg every time there is a mention of graphene.

I agree. Here is something interesting that was pointed out to me which I did verify. So car supplies warehouse which is run by chicago auto pros has dropped the ethos graphene coating from the store. Ethos has also removed every single one of their posts from that video just like they did with my video. Again that does not look good.

The guy can not help him self from firing comments back. It’s not like he is the chemist that formulated he should have taken the high road or at least realize that he really need to think about his comments and pick and choose his content he wants to respond to. If he was the chemist that worked on this for years I could understand his reaction.

Yes, he’s not the chemist and he is literally failing at his real job.

I would love to see @loach or even try my self to buy a small supply of good RGO and mix into some spray sealants like BSD, mothers CMX and reload because it has silicone in it.

I watched the video from Chicago Auto Pros and Tim`s body language was bad with his arms crossed. I beleive that Tim is a good guy at heart but the wrong person to respond to criticism of their products.
He is so defensive and he is waffling and weaving more then politicians.

I learned a long time ago to watch and break myself from saying they are being honest with you are the really lying the rest of the time?

Overreacting is doing more damage to the brand.

Good point @ functionaldoc the guy should stick to its strengths the water beading I have seen some videos where the beading was exceptional I was impressed by the product. I Think if he played to those strengths and the ease of use compared to some ceramics he would some good talking points about the product. The points he trying to make where his company figured out graphene and ceramics are tier below are not chiving well.

@budget letting the product do the talking is another great point the Art de shine/SPS way.

SPS/Art d` Shine have been noticeably absent in the recent `graphene hoopla` aside from a non-confrontational post or 2 from Albert Yow.

Coincidentally, one of those posts explained that the water behavior in their graphene offering had *nothing* to do with graphene. There are also some non-coating related articles around that contend that graphene in `thin layer` applications is hydrophillic, not hydrophobic.

Methinks SPS/Art d Shine took the correct approach in all of this...in stark contrast to Ethos. Wonder if Ethos will take a lower profile at some point or will continue to bloviate themselves into the same marketing pit as TopCoat F11?

Some albeit early reviews from some folks I trust say that so far, the Ethos is actually a nicely performing coating; not the promise of lesser water spotting but overall does very well in the `normal` self cleaning, hydrophobic, application and aesthetic areas.

Re: Is Graphene the next big thing for coatings?

@budget that info about SPS and the graphene not being the main reason it had great beading is very interesting. I would have never guessed that.

on the Ethos coating if the price is right I will be grabbing it. For me I’m almost afraid to pull the trigger on another graphene product because I feel like the following day a different company will release a new product and I’ll be more wishing I had waited. For me graphene doesn’t have to be better than ceramics I just want it to decent product if I am spending money on it.
