    Aquapel...

Thanks to a kindly Autopian who sent me a new unit/applicator I`m giving Aquapel a try on the windshield.

Rain in the forecast on Tuesday, so I just stripped the wholly unremarkable IGL Window off (Jescar Medium on orange Boss pad, McKees glass polish/restorer on Rupes yellow), cleaned with Angelwax Vision, applied Aquapel to windshield.

Wow, when you crack those wings on applicator, that Aquapel really saturates that thing. Applied up/down, side to side until even. Removed bulk with paper towels, short nap Gyeon Bald Wipe cleaned up residual haze nicely.

Car will sit in garage for next 15hrs and then we`ll see.

I`ve also been using it for years with great results. Even have the fleet at work using it.

I use treatments on all the glas of the car. It makes a huge difference on visibility out of those windows too. It lasts a lot longer on the other windows, because the wipers aren`t scraping on it.

    Re: Aquapel...

I had great success with Aquapel a few years ago, but our last two cars I could never get the haze to go away, no matter how much I buffed. I`ve tried a couple of glass coatings, but they don`t seem worth the application effort because of the inevitable water spotting. So I now use either Griots Glass Sealant or . . . Rain X. If the windshield stains up from traffic film or water spots, I quickly polish the coating off (even a Magic Eraser sponge works) and reapply.

    Re: Aquapel...

Aqua pel has a solid performance.

My evolution was rainx, Aqua pel, Gtechnig glass 1/2, optimum glass, Gyeon view, and last week IGL window.

    Rainx ok everything

Aqua pel a huge step up from rainx

I felt the optimum glass lasted longer and had better water behavior.

Gtechnig good performance but short lived. Liked their glass polish

    Gyeon view good product.

IGL window. Super easy application. It’s only one week old but works great so far b
I like that the kit comes witn eco glass to polish minerals off glass and leaves it super clean.

Nice! I was thinking about trying Aquapel or McKees 37 glass coating. Kamikaze still works pretty well on the glass though so I`ll probably hold off for a bit.
