    McKee`s37 Headlight Coating, Sio2 Enhanced

I just got some of this headlight coating and wanted to give it a shot. I had a 2013 Porsche 911 in for a correction and coating and wanted to coat the expensive headlights on this German machine.

It smells and has the consistency of a ceramic coating. It applies like McKee`s other coatings. Easy. It also wipes off/removes very easy and streak free.

The headlights were lightly polished and then wiped off with N914 in paint prep ratio. I then put one coat on. Let it haze for a few and then wiped off with a MF towel without any issues.

After a few hours, I was giving the vehicle a final wipe down of dust and noticed that the headlights were a little `grabby` compared to the body work. They were not slick. Good deal, the coating is on there!

I will update this thread with any additional information as I will see this vehicle in the future!

    Thanks for looking!

    Beautiful work, Scott !

So, do you think the headlight coating was still drying, and since plastic does not absorb as much as say, Paintwork, that is the reason why they were "grabby" ?
    Thanks -

Grabby or otherwise, those surfaces look great, Scott.

    Thanks everyone!

Dan: No, I think it`s the way that this coating is. Some are grabby, some are slick, some sheet, some bead.

I will check them in a week or so when I will see this vehicle again and update!
