GYEON Trim Q2 Review - short

Today I found time to apply GYEON Trim Q2 to my brand new Carrara White Macan. I did some research on this product and for the most part the reviews were good so for the small investment I felt it was worth a try. This is a longer lasting quartz based coating that has a shelf life of 6-18 months depending on who you talk to. Compared to a plastic dressing, this should last MUCH longer and provide more protection from UV and water.
Because this is a new car, I wanted to get off on the right foot.
The areas I covered included the trim under doors, side blades, front grill, base of mirrors & bumper trim. As you can see the black provides a nice contract to the white.
The application took me about 2 hrs, since I’m fairly slow I was careful not to over apply yet cover all the area need. The prep for the application took much longer than the application.
The kit comes with a dropper, applicator block, 4 suede cloths, instructions & Trim Q2.

I cut an orange wax applicator in ¼’s for the hard to get areas (front grille).
After washing the car, I went over all the soon to be coated plastic with Gyeon Prep. Some areas needed APC & Prep.

I used almost ½ bottle – coating applied easily. No issues with streaking. I wore gloves in a well ventilated garage.

Was my favorite until polish angel black bond. Goes farther and just as durable. Excellent work!

Lovely IXLRS. How much buffing do you do with the Gyeon to smooth things out. I tried it on a test spot. It was a tad too shiney for me. I know pics and in person comes out different to the eyes and is subjective

Some areas needed a light buff for leveling of the coating, most did not. Perhaps this was due to how much product was on my applicator. I did find that after a few minutes the shine deminished but didn’t complexity go away. Seemed like it was true to the original and not too shiney. For course I have new car trim is vs an older vehicle which the trim “pop” might be more pronounced and look over done.
