    McKee`s Paint Coating

    McKee`s Paint Coating

Here is my review on McKee`s Paint Coating, this is my second foray into paint coatings, my first was Blackfire`s Crystal Coat which was a disaster. McKee`s PC was actually quite simple, with it`s delivery system a spray bottle, made it easy to prime the pad and a few sprays on a panel and cross hatched the coating with the pad followed with a microfiber wipe down of the panel and used a 2nd microfiber towel to again wipe down the panel with little to no pressure on the towel. This is another WINNER from Mckee`s

The The 2013 Ford Escape was polished with Sonax perfect finsih polish, all panels wiped down with an IPA here ar the results, the pics do not do the car and the product justice:

    Looks GOOD
Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

    Looks great!

I`m starting to think that McKees paint coating, washing with their SiO2 soap, and using Hydro Blue as a booster once a month would be a killer and relatively cheap combo for maintaining a car a year or two.

McKee`s website states 2 years, as we all know it depend on how well it is maintained...with the new Mckee`s SiO2 wash this should help maintain the vehicle

Once Joe (or Nick...not sure) suggested to use the original formula "wet", i.e.liberally applied, I was getting much better results with the application process. Is the new formula the same way?

    Re: McKee`s Paint Coating

I used 2-3 sprays from the bottle depending on how big the panel was, generally I kept the panel I worked on a 2x2 section

I think that can be said about any coating, use it as thick as possible without creating high spots/streaking. That`s a tough thing to do if you`ve been applying waxes/sealants nice and thin for ages.
