I imagine it would allow for some protection, but not if you attack the paint with a chenille mitt lathered in saw dust after being dipped in oil

Tass,
Only someone like you would think of something like that. But really anyone?

Just a theory.......... no proof?
now this thread is getting funny
no really...no matter what products you use, the plain fact is Tassadar is sort of right in his own little weird way....
if you`re driving and something kicks off the car/truck ahead of you nothing will prevent a scratch or chip
if we`re talking about self inflicted damage by cleaning and sorts, then most products that will allow you to get the smoothest adnd slickest surface without displacing product will help prevent minor scratching and scuffing.
using a product like Spray & Wipe with greatlubrication and little if no pressure on a well maintained vehicle will also reduce the amount of minoe surface scratches...but that`s another thread
lol, what does that mean!Originally posted by Koop

I only wanted to know if it will protect good from the harsh winter salts and weather and all the other crap on the roads to leave the paint looking good in the spring.

The salt should not be a problem if you wash the car on a decent basis.
As for the undercarraige, I would sudgest a R2000 coating if you really want to go all out.

Yeah those powdercoating underneath are pretty nice but expensive they powdercoat anything nowdays.
How much is the R2000 ?
