    Mckees37 Plastic Trim Restorer Review

Nick over at Mckees37 was gracious enough to send over some of the new McKees37 product releases for my to try. This is my review of Mckees37 Plastic Trim Restorer. The test vehicle is my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 which needed some much needed cleanup of winter salt, snow, and abuse. My Dodge Ram has a significant amount of plastic trim so Mckees37 Plastic Trim Restorer was the perfect product to test it on. Although my trim on my truck is pretty well maintained the Mckees37 Plastic Trim Restorer did an excellent job of restoring and bring back the trim to it`s original color and look.

    Product Description:

Restores even the most neglected plastic trim to like-new condition
Works on ANY color plastic trim – black, gray, tan, etc
No dyes or colorants – 100% clear formula
Water-resistant – will not streak or run when it gets wet
Non-greasy formula dries 100% to the touch
Easily wipes off surrounding areas (paint, wheels, glass, etc) without causing damage

    Cost: $19.99 for 8 ounces

    Application:

I applied Mckees37 Plastic Trim Restorer with a foam applicator and worked it into the plastic trim. I decided to use a foam applicator as opposed to a microfiber applicator or towel since I noticed that the microfiber was absorbing a lot of the product. My trim wasn`t overly dirty so I applied without cleaning with an APC first. After working into the surface I buffed any residue with a clean microfiber towel.

    Thoughts and Observations:

Mckees37 Plastic Trim Restorer did an excellent job or bring back my trim and plastic to new. The surface was not over greasy and was dry to the touch. We are expected to get several days of rain this week so I will report back if I get any streaking and how the product holds up when exposed to rain.

Re: Mckees37 Plastic Trim Restorer Review

    Looks good ....

Did Nick give any indication of what sort of durability you could expect?

Any special prep agent (as in Gyeon Prep before Gyeon Trim) before application?

    Thanks!
