Re: Silica spray showdown: McKee`s v. Gyeon v. CarPro

I’m not Kevin but they all last around a month and are all very similar over the duration of that month. Buy which ever brand you like carpro, Gyeon or mckees. Or whichever is cheapest cause there isn’t much difference except color.

It’s possible one is better with chemical resistance or UV or bird bombs than the others etc but it’s hard to test that by the common man.

I agree completely with Matt. As you can see from the testing, the performance definitely diminishes around a month, and equally. That`s likely because of similar silica content and mechanism of activation.

I just bought a gallon of Hydro Blue, but I could have just as easily bought Wet Coat.

    HB was on sale...

Silica spray showdown: McKee`s v. Gyeon v. CarPro

Nice test. I would throw The Gloss Shop’s Hydrophobe Express Coating into this mix as well. In my testing compared to the same products, I found it to be just as easy to work with, but was more durable than the others. It also has the distinct competitive advantage of being able to be used in a true rinseless scenario and as a drying aid. So better performing and more versatile.

Hop on over and check out the review when you guys have time.
