    Nice.

Interested in your thoughts on this.

I want to compare the product applied to a dry surface, spotted with water and a sheet. Anyone game for this? I can see the need to activate, but what`s the issue with not having a dry surface? Streaking? Spotting?

None. There is just the direction that they supposedly have some sort of "Hydroelectric bonding" per carpro when activated with water.

    Mckees says "electrostatic bond"

Off label for hydro2 lite was spray on dry. I have done it with these type of products and it just goes on like a spray wax or quick detailer didn`t use it in the sun or anything. Never tested longevity either but it was slick and seemed to work perhaps works more like reload then

I will be ordering this for my spring detail. Sounds solid and very easy.

Kevin. So I cleaned my wife`s GMC driver and driver rear door. Driver door I did 7:1 mix of silica spray. Since this is auto geek I won`t say what brand cause they don`t sell it. I was out of Hydro and couldn`t get any product other than wet coat by the weekend so I used what I had. Anyways so I sprayed that on just straight no water rinse or "bonding" process as some claim. The rear driver side door I did the water shock rinse.

CN. Both 7:1. One just used like a quick wax. 1 used as intended. Figured the doors would be good as they get lots of contaminates compared to a hood.

No cool videos. I wouldn`t want to water test it quite yet anyways might as well let them cure for at least a couple hours.

I`ll update maybe on autopia later after a week or so about the results and pics.

Oops i just realized this was autopia. I used the waxed shine Aquabead not trying to steal any mckees thunder but wanted to state the product I used. I don`t work for them I paid for the product straight from Canada

Thanks for the test, Matt. Looking forward to hearing your updates.

    No streaking?

No streaking. I have used it many times without water in the past. This is on black. I wanted to use my wife`s truck cause it`s black and mine is white. Maybe different brands of the silica sprays would give you different results though. And the dilution *may* have something to do with it

In fact when hydro2 lite came out in the UK they said you can use it that way in the initial thread they made about it.
