Adams SK mini vs Rupes mini

I did not get to use the adams mini for a long period but I wanted to give my quick thoughts on it.

Going vs. the Rupes. Adams was a tad lighter. Adams definitely had enough power to polish but felt slightly weaker? then the rupes. Adams 5 1/2 speed would probably be equal to rupes 4. The vibration was much better then I thought it would be. Rupes still has a upper hand on smoothness. Ergonomic grip on rupes was also a win, the head on the adams didnt feel as comfortable.

Pros. Price of course, much cheaper. came with 25` cord

Cons. Side on/off switch was a little annoying. stock backing plate was a bit stiff

Thank you, I would love to have a smaller 12mm machine but realistically may only use it less times then you can count on one hand in a year as personal car hobbyist. So a machine like this if it does work would appeal to me, do to price point and amount of need. My GG3 just doenst cut it (pun intended) for anything more then a wax spreader.

Excellent. Another choice for everyone. Thanks for the review. Didn`t realize that Adam`s had their own line of polishers

Im in the same boat. Would love to have a Nano but can`t justify the cost for the handful of time I`d actually use it... on the other hand if Paul or Jessie has an open box I may be persuaded otherwise.

Was hoping someone around here would review this. Thanks for offering up the side by side comparison, it`s very helpful to hear that perspective from someone already using the mainstay tool.

i was hoping rupes would have the nano as a stand alone polisher without the kit.

the extra polishes/pads/carrying case seems to be unnecessary cost adding onto the price. just give me the polisher, attachments and batteries please!

I am waiting for all the pieces to be sold separately. I have plenty of compound/polish/pads to be stamped out that I can`t justify it right now. If it was sold in pieces I would have one on the way today.

Ah, relief...haven`t even started up my new Mini, glad to hear it compares well (that switch location would matter to me).

yes. definitely annoying placement. at first i thought it was cause i was use to the rupes switch. then i realized it`s just a bad placement when you have to move your hand awkward to turn it on and off
