    Quick Review: Meguiars Fast Finish

So this is Meguiars new product in there Ultimate lineup. I have used there Ultimate paste wax and liquid Ultimate wax with good results in the past. Although I do like there Ultimate paste a bit better than the liquid. Just preference.

So after seeing this being released I knew I would have to try it out.

Here`s the box it comes in. Also included is a black microfiber towel.

For this test I used the trunk lid on my GTO. For preparation of Ultimate fast finish I polished the trunk lid with my PC using a orange LC pro thin pad and BOSS correcting cream. Then followed it up with a white LC pro thin pad and BOSS perfecting cream. I then followed that up with McKee`s coating prep polish and a clean white LC pro thin pad. This left the surface nice and clean ready for the Ultimate fast finish.

For application I used the same method as Guz did in his review. Using a clean microfiber applicator for application and a supreme 530 microfiber for removal.

I used a small spray on the surface of the applicator and then wipped it on in a criss cross pattern. You can see in the photo below where I applied it. The good thing is this stuff goes a long way and spreads easily.

Wipe off was a breeze. No streaks or smudges and left a nice soft surface.

Then I had to see some beeding!

If this stuff lasts even a fraction of the amount it claims then this will be a very efficient way to seal paint. Unfortunately I have never tried Opti seal or anything similar so I can`t compare. Once I have time to wash my daily I am going to give it a shot.

    Thanks for the review.

Seems to be going after the can coat/pns market.
Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

kind of interesting to see the *based on 100 consecutive car washes with ph neutral shampoo

how they extrapolate that to 1 year is the part that confuses me

so a little math in the head says that would be one wash every 3.65 days (to do 100 washes in a year)

just has me scratching my head... I am naturally curious as to how manufacturers determine longevity but this actually defines it, which is nice

I`m with you though,,, if it lasts 3 months that seems so easy to apply.

In a warmer environment I can see it possibly being a wowa product but more than likely it will still require a quick wipe off to level it.

Great review. This stuff is very nice and easy to work with.

This is aimed to the consumer and ease of use is always a top priority. So I can see it being a him amongst that crowd. Hopefully it is better received unlike Paint Protect 365.

If you have ever used opti-seal or something similar, UFF sort of behaves like it in terms of it flashing. It actually flashed off better than opti-seal when I used it. In me using it, I would not worry if I missed a spot as it appears that it would flash off. But just to be sure a light final wipe doesn`t hurt.

Totally agree. But I am curious as to under what real world climate testing they do. Either way. If it gets 3-4 months I am sold. Just curious as to which stores will carry it.

Because 100 car washes is better than 52 car washes.
