it`s quite ridiculous
take this example of a hood wet with water in the morning
I drive about a mile to get to the access road to the interstate though residential areas on a road with a 30mph speed limit
once my truck hits about 22mph the CSL + EXOv2 side starts to move the water off that section of the hood- while literally Nothing is happening on the CSL and EXOv2 only sides (until I make a right turn onto the access road and the larger CSL beads make their way to the CSL + EXOv2 side and fly off the hood
at 25 the CSL+ EXOv2 is already moving and by the time I get to 40 it`s almost all off the truck
the CSL and EXOv2 only sides take Highway speeds to start moving off (that`s 70mph btw)
the difference is Night and Day when you top CSL with EXOv2 based on my experience
I`m curious to see how my CSL + EXOv2 vs CSL + EXOv3 test turns out (will share that eventually) because v3 has 5-10 degrees less of contact angle...part of me thinks its not going to be as good as v2 AS A TOPPER for CSL... which is why I plan to test them side by side to see for myself
as a side note the fender that has 6 or 7 or even maybe 8 layers of EXOv2 on it is still performing at 100% as it was after applied....
I think you need at least 4 layers of EXOv2 minimum...but who has time for that? (besdies me,lol)
Re: Holy sheet: EXO v CSL v CSL w/EXO - A longevity test
Good lord that`s a lot of layers
Re: Holy sheet: EXO v CSL v CSL w/EXO - A longevity test
Re: Holy sheet: EXO v CSL v CSL w/EXO - A longevity test
your far left: exov2, middle: csl, far right csl+exov2
one week shy of 6 months..this time I washed with pblv2 shampoo and rinsed
decontamination wash 1.15.17 and only one wash since then but I have used toppers which have assisted the exov2 and csl sections a bit. the combo side, well it has stayed pretty much the same, even when dirty it beads and sheets ike crazy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2QXZ4ceE1U
this is csl in middle vs csl+exo on right

exov2 (either 7 or 8 layers, I forgot how many I ended up doing to be honest) and its at a week or so over 5 months

csl+exov2 on the door - a week or so above 5 months

this is the pblv2 vs csl door (the passenger rear door), left half has pblv2

It`s been about two weeks since I put all the products above on the truck
In those two weeks the truck has only been rinsed with high pressure soap/water once. (about a week ago) and then I drove off and came back to the coin op and wiped it down with a WW towel and Spray and Gloss- vehicle was almost clean already but the lower panels needed a little bit of help from the cleaning properties of Spray and Gloss
this truck has also been through three rain storms before that time and it BARELY gets dirty. it`s kind of nice, actually
I plan to wash it again this evening as its supposed to rain the rest of the week and I kind of like seeing all the different beads on the truck.
I think I`m gonna wash it with something that has some wax in it for that added wax depth.
I took a few videos of the wash but its nothing that I haven`t posted before- but the fun part was seeing the multiple layers of EXOv2 on the passenger fender just shed off water like a madman, lol
The CSL w C2V3 is PHENOMENAL- almost as good as the CSL w EXO on top .. considering the ease of applying the CSL + C2V3 (spray), its definitely going to be my 1-2 punch with CSL from now on.
Hell, even the C2v3 side alone offers some pretty intense water behavior and shedding ability. there are just tiny little dirt beads with trail marks down the sides of my truck indicating they were dashing across the surface quite a ways
Ah...here it is! This might be my next combo.

csl+ c2v3 does almost the same thing as csl+exo but just not as intensely and not for as long

update
hasnt been given proper wash since 2.8.17 but was hosed down and rw with n914 on 2.12.17
yesterday, 3.23.17 the truck was given a much needed bath with Poorboy`s foam and super slick and suds

topped hood with qd+ for fun
keep in mind hood was given a decontamination wash on 1.15.17 where the beading and sheeting to exoV2 and csl only sides was restored
csl+exo has still been essentially bullet proof the entire 7 months and 1 week thus far
here is the water after the sss final rinse
once again, to your far left (passenger side of hood) exoV2x2, middle is csl and your far right (drivers side) is csl+exoV2x2
all at roughly 7months 1 week
all given a decontamination wash on 1.15.17
i flooded hood and put down hose and grabbed phone, so maybe 10 seconds of water sitting on there just fyi, sorry no video this time

other reporting from rinse stage on passenger side coatings
tailgate csl split with topper of cure and c2v3 still both bead and the control in middle sheets but doesnt bead
passenger bed csl and csl+c2v3 appears to be looking good. the c2v3 section still beads better
pbl vs csl rear passenger door, pblv2 os flat and appears gone again, csl sheets but not that great at beading, but much better than csl on hood which is only 2 weeks or so older
csl drivers door has csl and csl+exoV2x2 splits and the combo is still cherry and wonderful to watch when rinsing off
exoV2 x6,7or8 layers on fender is still a bead monster and the only thing coming close to my csl+exo combo but still not as impressive and much less practical to apply
on drivers side I added mckees hydro blue spray coating to the doors and side windows since its supposed to rain tomorrow, id like to see how it plays in the rain :)
thats all for now
Re: Holy sheet: EXO v CSL v CSL w/EXO - A longevity test
if I use CSL on a car, what is the time frame to top with EXO? Does it have to be right away or can it be a while down the road?

Re: Holy sheet: EXO v CSL v CSL w/EXO - A longevity test
This is from their web page.

If you are applying over CSL, EXOv3 can either be applied straight away after you have finished applying CSL starting the process at the same place you did with CSL and following the same order of panels you did with CSL, or it can be applied up to 24 hours after finishing the CSL application

I never re read the directions after the first time and I think the v2 said up to 12 so that`s where I got that from. I just wait an hour or so and apply the exo
I read someone waited 24 hours on a post and it seemed to be ok for them as well
was that you? I don`t recall
