    Hey Al (Bunky)!

I`d be interested in seeing some pics of the new Kobalt cabinet.

    Re: Hey Al (Bunky)!

    Here are some pics.

It came unassembled but all the exterior pieces had pre-installed screws that went into matching keyhole slots on the mating pieces. The shelves just rest on punched out sections but seem sturdy. There were only 8 screws to add (secure top and bottom). A power screw driver (used Dewalt drill on lowest setting) is needed since there are a lot of pre-installed screws. The good news is they do not strip out easily.

In general the finish is great (no sharp edges) and most everything fit without much extra effort (holes lining up). It is not super study (more than what I expected so not disappointed at all) and can be bolted to the wall. The legs have leveling features and need to spend more time getting it right to get the doors to close smoothing. You cannot just take a level and get it level and it all works but takes some fine tuning adjustment since the cabinet does twist a little - just opening the doors changes things.

The instructions were better than average and everything was intuitive. All parts had labels (A, B, C, etc) so clear on parts and the screw kit was in a vacuum packed cardboard backing with clear labeling on type of screw/qty plus they intentionally added 4 spare screws. Very nice.

It is more space efficient and deeper than my prior plastic ones so had plenty of room but still need to organize things. It was 90 F in the garage so stopped to continue today.

I like it so will likely get at least one more.

Nice cabinet Al! I have been eyeing a craftsman cabinet for some time. I hate how all of my supplies sit on an open Seville Classics wire shelf. A cabinet just looks more organized.
