    Adams Super VRT Review

    Whatsup everyone,
New to Autopia but not new to writing detailing product reviews. Im on the other forums too, but dont post much there anymore. Just a little bit of background about me. Im a college student that primarily uses Shine Supply products, but have tons of other products as well. I have a small amount with me in college, but will review all of my stuff when Im back for the summer in a few weeks. Anyway, onto the review!

    Prep:
The tires were prepped by being cleaned with the Rocket Wax Degreaser diluted 1:1 and scrubbed with a brush. They were then dried with a microfiber towel.
    Before:

    Application:
The product was applied sparingly to the Adams hex grip tire applicator. The product is a runny lotion consistency--definitely thicker than a liquid, but not a thick lotion. I applied a little to the tires and allowed it to dry. I did not wipe off any excess product because it didnt seem to need it. The product is very easy to work with and has a pleasant cherry scent.

    Results/ Final Thoughts:
At first, the product goes on very shiny but it quickly dries to a nice, conditioned look without being greasy. I enjoy a tire that is conditioned but not overly shiny and tacky. This product is very easy to work with, smells nice, and is not greasy at all. Overall its a fantastic product, probably my second favorite tire dressing. The only con I can think of is the price. At $25 for 16oz and $100 for a gallon this stuff is pricey. Thanks for reading!

Nice review. I sold my SVRT long ago. Its decent but the longevity and durability is lacking compared to some other tire dressings. The consistency looks more liquidy than the one that I used to have. The bottle I used to have had the same thick gel like consistency as Meguiars D163 Tire & Trim Gel. They are very similar products but Meguiars comes in a bit cheaper with similar if not better performance.

Some have always claimed Adams was a rebottled CG VRP. I have not used Adams but CG appears to be thicker (based upon formula) and give it a "not" bad (well within the range of many other water based dressings). It coats the tire nicely.

Not too long ago Adams came out with Tire Shine. It has a bit more shine and seems to last longer on tires than S-VRT.

They still sell S-VRT. Mostly used for exterior trim...

If it doesnt last on tires, it wont last on trim. Old technology that washes off in the first drizzle.

I totally agree. I already had that stuff stain paint because it streaked after a rain storm

This is true. Lasts about a week or 2.

That is odd you guys say that about VRT. I have had excellent results with it and have had it last a couple of weeks. I am curious to know what are some of you using that you like more? Would love to try something else.

The Tire Shine is also packed with silicone to make it last longer. Technically it is water-based, but Im not a fan of silicone tire dressings.

My favorite is Shine Supply decked out. It is dilutable to your desired shine, easy to apply, and lasts a long time.

For trim I would look into wolfgang exterior trim sealant. Great product. For tires Im a fan of Blackfire Total Eclipse and Pinnacle Black Onyx.

I have been wanting to try the Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant for a while. I have Pinnacle Black Onyx, but it always does something weird. Almost like it evaporates from the tire and leaves patches where there isnt any tire shine.
