Review: Low Rider – Liquid Wax

Review: Low Rider – Liquid Wax

Autopia product link: LOWRIDER Liquid Wax
    Autogeek product link: None

    Price: $14.99 for 16 oz.

    Details:
This new wax was given to me by Paul to review. I was told nothing special about the liquid wax and I frequently try out new LSP’s.

    Review:
As I’m always trying new LSP I was interested to see how this unassuming product would perform on a black car (2004 Acura EL). I corrected half the roof and half of the hood (all I had time to do) and applied the wax to the entire car. I tried with an applicator by hand but prefer to apply liquid waxes by machine. I did a test area by hand and then by machine and both tests spots were virtually identical (it’s basically a WOWO wax). As I was short on time after the full detail I did not use an IPA/Eraser wiped down on the corrected areas. The rest of the car that was no corrected also was waxed to allow for different comparisons (corrected vs uncorrected).

    2004 Acura EL after:

Here’s a 50/50 wax and correction VS clean decontaminated paint:

I applied a generous amount of WAX to my Red Hydro-Tech pad. I buffed one section with two overlapping passes per section to both the corrected and non-corrected areas. I found despite wiping off seconds after my last pass the wax was hard to remove. Like an over applied hard paste wax. I tried another pad and much less product with similar results and went back to a slightly more generous amount of product in an attempt to fill the swirls/RIDS/etc. I wouldn’t say I liked the wax but I wouldn’t say I disliked it either, more of a run of the mill wax that does it’s job. Also it has little to no scent when I start applying I assumed it would start to smell good/bad but it actually had no detectible odor. This could be a pro for people who are allergic to synthetic scented products.

Reflection shots (my first black car correction):

    Nice
now lets see how long it lasts
Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!
