Ron don`t let my bad experience demoralize you from using it. I had the same problem with Meguiar`s Ultimate Black Tire Coating a couple months back. It`s the tire and not the product. When you do use it, my tip would be to apply 1 coat and see how it behaves the next day. It does look good when it bonds properly.

Bumping this thread with some new information.
So I did what Nick from Autogeek recommended and did not use any tire dressings for about 2 months. All I did was clean them with Mothers Back to Black Tire Renew when doing a rinseless or Meguiar`s D143 if I did a 2 bucket.
This past weekend I cleaned the tires with DP Tire Cleaner & Restorer. I then applied DP Tire Coating with a carrand brush. It is much better using the carrand brush versus the foam applicator I used the first time. I did dry the tire coating with the metro blaster sidekick in between coats demonstrated by Mike Phillips in one of his write ups. I went 2 coats on each tire.
Well after 4 days I am happy to report that the tire coating took to the tire this time. No browning after one day as I previously exhibited. So far so good. Thanks to Nick for his help.

I coated my TR6 tires in December 2014 (for Autogeek`s Cars & Coffee) with DP Tire Coating
I cleaned them 4x`s before they were clean enough to coat (no more brown in the soap) using Meguiar`s APC+ at 4:1 dilution.
I applied 4 coats using a 3" foam roller
Heres my tires as of the middle of October when I took the car off the road for some maintenance repairs
They have lost a considerable amount of gloss but still clean easily with soap and water!
BTW, they have around 2500 miles since coating

I will add that I had previously coated them with Black Pearl and when Nick had asked me to try DP I had to remove the BP.
It took a bit of scrubbing with a stiff scrub brush and Meguiar`s APC+ at full strength (undiluted) to get it off.

Here are some updates.
This was taken after reapplication back on November 30th, 2015. Again this is after not using any tire dressings for a couple months.
Not the best view.

2 month update. I only clean the tires with either Meguiar`s D114 if I do a rinseless and in those rare times when I use a 2 bucket wash I will use my Mothers tire brush and car wash soap to clean the tires.

It`s doing quite well after 2 months. No browning of the tires and they still look really good after 2 months.

That`s pretty good durability Mike! There`s still some shine left even after 2 months.

That is really impressive. I love the just dressed look and hate how dressings just fade so quickly. Even opti and wet diamond are only good a couple weeks. Looks like this might be the next tire dressing I buy.

Yeah the coating is still hanging around. It`s not as glossy as it was when I first applied it but it looks pretty good.
It`s been very impressive. I think you would be happy with it. It`s a good time to get it since Autogeek has it on sale. Have Autopia price match it.

I gave the car a wash today. I`m going to call it at 2 months. I am going to go ahead and refresh it with another coat.

Went ahead and re-coated the tires with another 2 coats of the tire coating.
I used the sidekick to dry the tires and accelerate the curing time between coats.
I did use two rounds of Meguiar`s D108 Super Degreaser at 4:1 with a tuff shine tire brush followed by two rounds of the DP Tire Cleaner & Restorer. This way I don`t have to go through the DP tire cleaner too fast.
This is what the tire looked liked after it was cleaned
2 coats of tire coating
Up close it looks really nice
Here`s the other side in the shade
Some up close photos of the coating
For those that are unaware, the tire coating is now available as part of the McKee`s 37 line.

Thanks for the updates. I was really disappointed with DP tire coating, PERL and Gyeon tire, but perhaps it is my Michelin Xi3 tires that are the issue. Any knowledge about Goodyears having the same issue?
When you use Mothers back to black tire renew, are you using the tub shine brush on the tires when you`re doing the rinseless?

Michelin tires are some of the toughest tires to dress. It`s the tire and not the products. They bloom more than any tire I have dressed. Coatings don`t last long on michelin`s from personal experience. A regular water based tire gel works much better. My brother had good year tires and they seemed to be ok when I used a different tire coating.
I use a tuf shine tire brush when using Mothers Back to Black Tire Renew. But only when the tires look like they need a fresh application of tire gel. When I have my tires coated, I don`t use any sort of tire cleaner. All I do is use rinseless wash solution when I rinseless wash or soap and water when doing a 2 bucket. That is all that is really needed when the tires are coated.
