MicroFiber Problem

Lately My towels seem to have alot of static to them. I asked my if she has done anything different with washing them and no. She good about washing then, she knows no fabric softer. But it strange for some reason they have alot of static and it really makes it difficult to remove product and I can hear and feel the static as I running the MF over the finish. My Fav Super Plushes are basically useless. Is there anything I can do?

try air drying them...

I have one question. How do you dry your MF towels?

If your are drying your towels in a dryer, try line drying them and see if the towels have the same static problems.

Try drying them until they are slightly damp, then air dry them. That will cut down on the static.

lol My wife just washed all my dirty ones so now I once again have a bunch of static. Anyway to maybe discharge them?
I went out to my car this morning and I had all kinds of particles stuck to my finish. running the Calfornia Duster sure hepled.

I line dry my MF`s..when I would put them in the dryer I could here the static zinging as I pulled the out...and I just air dried them in the dryer..now i just hang them on the line and no static at all...I think the tumbling in the dryer loads them up with static..like rubbing a ballon on your head..lol..try line drying and see if the resolves the problem...

Just run them through a rinse cycle quickly. Then put them in the dryer on low heat until damp. I can`t think off any other method that would work.

lonewolf0420, for those towels which are already dry, try holding the towel by two corners and giving it a quick "snap". That should help discharge some of the static. You might turn the towel by a quarter turn and repeat.

As mentioned above, damp dry your towels on a low heat setting. Another thing that helps is adding vinegar to your rinse water.

The "SNAP" seems to really help. I dry my towels on the very lowest setting in the dryer and then when folding them I give that that "SNAP" and it seem to dissipate the static charge.

I just dry them on delicate, which is less heat I suppose, and I`ve never had a problem. I also don`t turn it on for the full time, because it`s normally not that big of a load and they dry up pretty quickly.
