Too bad you can`t use "Grandma`s" picture as a Avatar at that other detailing site!

BTW, very nice site you`ve got there, and a great lookin "L"!

    P.S.

I may (or may not) have more stuff than you, but your truck is sure a lot faster than mine!

Thanks Boss. It maybe faster but it doesnt have a backseat, and it requires lot of wrench time.Nitrous on top of a blower makes stuff break as fast as the truck runs.I drive listening for any tiny burp and trying to feel every cylinder fire through the seat.Speed has its downside, trust me.

I hope I can learn from you guys.Detailing is something that I got interested in,about a month ago(thats why all of those bottles are all full. Up until recently I had a pile of "over the counter" brand names that I used(probably incorrectly).

Tim,knock it off. Im still making notes on my current L. I cant take temptation man.

    NozeBleed,

You`re welcome! First detailing tip I`ll give you......... on that silver color, you may want to consider Platinum UPP as a topper. The synthetics sealants, like Klasse, Zaino, and UPP really give those light colors some "ZIP"!

Boss,I may give that a try after these last 3 coats of Souveran wash off. I may need a bigger set of shelves.

Cujo, thank you for the compliments. The trade is out though. I can appreciate any fine automobile but I have too much blood and busted knuckles spent on this truck. Maybe over time I can convert some of you guys to the SVT sickness.

Oh man, Nozebleed is gonna have a Lightnin` AND an 05 SVT Cobra? You are truly blessed!!!

BTW....I`ve been told by a very reliable source who is in the know on the upcoming `05 Stangs that the great looking Shelby like twin hood scoops will not make it into the production models. GTs and Cobras may indeed have some sort of hoodscoop but it won`t be the one in the pics we`ve all seen this far. Personally, I love the twin scoop hood they`ve been parading all over the country. Really reminds me of the later model Shelbys. Sort of bummed they decided to do away with it in production. I wonder what made them do it .

Nah,not blessed. I just make terrible decisions. Ill probably be living in them. A man has got to have his priorities though.

I hope they keep the hood.It really adds to the retro look.If they dont use it,you know it will be available through someone aftermarket. Just have to calculate that money as part of the cost when you buy the car I guess.

500 HP is easy to guess. The new Lightning is claimed to run as much with the factory screw blower too. Recently,a recalibrated computer and Kenne Bell screw blower on an 03 Cobra(no other mods)netted over 600 RWHP and was completely streetable with OEM drivability. The price of new cars is the scary part. $40,000 for a Stang?....I dunno. I labor for my paychecks.

Heh, you guys think those pics are great eh? I got to sit in one of those Mustangs when J. Mays (VP of Design for Ford) came to Oklahoma City, and the Mustang club I am in was exclusively invited to attend.

    Check the pics:

Yeah its a lot of pics, but I got to sit in that baby. At the time, the hood was litterally bolted shut. Nothing special though, they said the final production engine was not ready, so for the concepts, they were putting DOHC 32-valve V-8 (03 Cobra) motors in them.

    J. Mays himself said that 95% of the car would still be there, but there are some things that certainly will NOT be there.

    1. Brembo brakes are gone
    2. The new design of the gauges (it will still be needles)
    3. The large ammounts of aluminum in the car will be gone
    4. No racing seats
    5. The rear will be slightly less pronounced (sorry no pic, its kinda fugly)

No brembos that sucks why dont they make it like the prototype that look of the mustang is the only look I would buy it looks really nice with those rims and interior looks pretty nice with the Air/Fuel mixture gauge and all but why not leave all the goodies or have them as options on higher models IE Cobra or GT.

I think a sports car with that much heritage and everything should get the best of what the company has to offer IE HID,Navigation system, Best and most power full Engine, and everything to make it smack the competition around.
