I was asked to review Carmor Fade to New permanent trim restorer.`

    `

    `

I received the product with all the nessecary applicators, wiping cloth, and instructions. The instructions recommend to thoroughly clean the trim using IPA. The directions also indicated for a factory look to immediately buff the area after application.

I had an Acura TL in my shop on Sunday and the windsheild cowl was pretty faded and figured it would be a good test.

    `

I used APC + first to clean the cowl, followed up by an IPA wipe down. It was applied in my shop with the temp around 65.

The product was very easy to apply, just wipe on ensuring it`s even, then buff off. I did notice that if you do not buff it off you can end up with some streaking, which is easily fixed by reapplying and then buffing off.

    Overall thoughts:

    `

Cost: $35 for the bottle - very reasonable

Ease of use: very easy to use

Darkening Ability: Darkens pretty well. Trim was not an extreme case, but it returned the trim to like factory

Durability: will monitor it. It did get rained on last night and was beading very well and did not run at all (see pic)

Looks better, but not quite OEM. Darker, just not the same sheen as new. Is it a dye?

It`s not a dye. The product is clear.
