Product Review: Chemical Guys HoneyDew Snow Foam

    Introduction:

Like many of you, I am on the never ending search for the best or perfect car wash soap. Like most I have many criteria that I am looking for. I want the soap to have great cleaning ability while also being gentle to the LSP. I want good lubricity to help minimize any marring from having too much drag while also being easy to rinse free afterwards. Let’s be honest if the scent is not pleasing we won’t want to use as much either. And price is always a factor when it comes to spending the cash. There are a few other minor factors that go into my thoughts and choices in choosing car wash; but these are the major ones I focus on.

    Product Description / Claims:

Chemical Guys HoneyDew Snow Foam is the first hyper-foaming snow foam car wash that embraces the uniqueness of the honeydew melon by combining it with a little Chemical Guys cleaning chemistry. We hope you enjoy it. The unmatched hyper-foaming agents combined with Chemical Guys lubricating agents in Honeydew Snow Foam deliver a truly unmatched super high foaming auto wash that rinses clean delivering a high-shine slick finish.

Chemical Guys Super-Premium Honeydew Snow-Foam is engineered to create millions of tiny close-grouping cleaning bubbles. It can be used as a traditional soap and diluted in a bucket or used with a foam gun, foam lance, or foam washer to maximize foam coverage and deliver a thick, rich blanket of snow foam.

Chemical Guys Honeydew Snow Foam is tough on dirt, grime, and environmental contaminants, yet gentle on all paint as well as all waxed and sealed surfaces. The pH-neutral formula lifts dirt and grime away from paint so it can be safely rinsed away.

The unique PPM (Parts Per Million) formulation of this emulsion delivers a gradual variety of millions of cleaning bubbles that, once foamed onto a surface, work fast at lifting abrasive contaminants away from your paint`s delicate surface. Airborne dust, dirt, and grime is encapsulated within the unique hyper-foam emulsion and removed with a sharp jet of water, thereby reducing the friction and scratches generally produced by contact washing.

Chemical Guys Snow Foam is a hyper-concentrate. It can diluted up to 1:1100 with water ( or approximately 1 capful with 5 gallons of water). Dilute according to desired needs when using foam lance, foam gun, foam blaster, or hose-attached foaming apparatus.

The Honeydew extract formulation not only cleans surfaces delivering a bright spot-free shine it produces a fresh natural honeydew smell that`s simply delicious.

The unique formulation of Honeydew Snow Foam is engineered with water softeners designed to reduce hard water spots caused by calcium.

Honeydew Snow Foam Car Shampoo is developed to be safe on all vehicle surfaces including paint, rubber, vinyl, glass and plastics. It can also be used on gel coat finishes as well as boats, RVs and jet skis. Chemical Guys Honeydew Snow Foam is free of all CFCs and solvents and like all Chemical Guys soaps, it is fully biodegradable. Honeydew Snow Foam meets all VOC regulations.

    Testing:

As with all of my other foaming soap reviews this is going to focus on the foaming action as well as the cleaning ability. As always I will let the video do the talking.

    Pros:

    1. Decent Cleaning ability

    2. Easily rinses off

    3. Suds last the whole wash

    Cons:

    1. Over Hyped Sales pitch.

    Questions:

    1. When will they bring their “No Touch” foaming car wash to the states?

    Final Thought / Summary:

Honeydew Snow Foam nice wet foam. I actually prefer the wet foam over the puffy dry foam as it seems to work on loosening the dirt better. Although is a thicker viscosity than the new Mr. Pink it is still a very nice wash. As I mentioned in my video the fact that you can get this in a gallon size for me is one deciding factor. In a bucket wash it is simply average in my book. I cleans ok and would be good for someone that keeps there vehicle in great condition. But if my vehicle is really dirty then this is nothing more than a pre-soak for me, as I will reach for a different soap for my wash.

Ditto! BS like that is really starting to hurt the industry. Good product but unique - I doubt they would get that past a jury.
