I`ll probably be using ONR for most of the washes, unless it gets really dirty. As far as QD`s, I`ll be using them as a drying aid, but no QDs that extend beading, I`ll probably just stick with OID and Z6.

I`m not convinced they are the same, in one of my previous experiments, I DG101 fell below DG501 on the cleaning/polishing ability scale, and both were beat by ZAIO, but if I have a few minutes, I`ll QD an area on the roof and apply some DG101.

You`re correct, that`s not a fair statement to say they`re identical formulations which they are not. Thanks for taking the time to add the DG101 to your test and I will look forward to the end results.

No problem. I ended up doing the drivers side roof, in between the antenna and rear hatch spoiler. Went on nice and smooth, DG101 is great stuff for store bought.

Thanks for sharing and definitely looking forward to your updates. I have come full circle with regards to AIOs and agree with your train of thought.

Don`t both of them extend beading? I`m pretty sure OID does.

Every single QD I have extends beading, in fact ONR does as well, but OID and Z6 seem to last in the 1-3 rain showers range for me. Perhaps I should skip the QD?

I think it would be the course of wisdom to drop QD so as to not skew the results. :clap1:

Ok, it`s not going to be easy, but I`ll skip the QDs.

Just a quick update. About 4 real rains, a few sprinkles here and there and the wicked storm that rolled through here last Friday. In between all that water, its been hot as heck, the car has been parked indoors for a total of 3 days. Most days it spends on the top of my parking deck at work and temps have been over 90 most days, quite a few temp readings from the car of 104 when I get in.

All is beading quite well, no noticeable difference in any of the sections yet. We might get some rain tonight, hoping to get some pics if its still light enough.

Thanks for the update. My 4Runner (parked outside) has been subjected to a full week of record breaking 100 degree plus weather and next week is more of the same. Whatever wins your test is going on the truck!

Just a quick video of the beading. The car is pretty dirty, a good layer of dust but it looks like everything is holding up well, as I`d expect at two weeks and a few days.

Love that Jetta red!! Wanted red on my Passat Wagon when but the Passat red is very orange. Not that deep red on the Jetta. Speed/POXY after 7 weeks is beading like when first put on. Used TOUCH yesterday and I was really surprised how it amped up the shine and slickness.

Thanks guys, red is my favorite color. Sort of wished I had gotten the vette in red but I didn`t want the ticket magnet factor. Final touch is awesome, great QD, amazing value, but for some reason the smell rubs me the wrong way (but not enough to stop using it). On of the things I love most about it, is how well it works on prefect and very imperfect cars.
