I wanted to see what all the raving was about so I ordered the Acylic series. Jeff was very nice and helped me with all the questions I had. I received my order on time and I could hardly sleep last night. The process.

    1.) wash with dawn

    2.) prime with the PC

3.) AJ with the cordless WEN buffer.

Prime was giving me a hard time spreading on the hood, but I got used to it and the rest of the application was easy. AJ needs to go on REALLY LIGHT!!! I thought I put it on light but it was giving me a hard time to remove, so I just went around the car with AJ again. I really like the way the car looks. The reflections are sharper and AJ left the paint soft, and slick. The metallic flakes on my car was really popping but you can`t really see it in the pictures. Werkstatt gets a :2thumbs:

That first hood shot looks very wet and reflective. Nice job.

Looks great from what I can see, can you get us some whole car shots?

What was on the car in the past and do you have any pics of that?

Looks nice, but drop the dawn. I cannot wait to try my order when the weather warms up.

:werd: Prime will remove anything already on the car.

How did you apply Prime? It seems to work very well with the blue Propel finishing pad, haven`t used it by hand except in hard to reach areas.

Definitely interested in some sun shots.

hi Scott.....I used the pc with the megs polishing pad. AJ gave me hell though, I put it on as thin as possible. How do you apply AJ?

My AIO bottle is virtually empty and I have been reading all the comments on Werkstatt. All the pictures that various folks have posted look FANTASTIC ...right across the board.

What are the minimal components I need? Just the Prime and the Acrylic Jett? I am making the assumption that these two products would be analogous to the legendary Klasse twins...is that valid?

Also, I have David`s SONUS Acrylic Glanz which I like a lot. That`s used to freshen up the Klasse. I am assuming (again) :think2 the Acrylic Glos is the equivalent product.

    What am I missing

    Thanks for any/all guidance.

    Tom,

I picked up the Prime, AJ, and AG. With that, you should be ready to go. I also got some Satin Prop, foam applicators, and a couple of free MFs.

Minimal components would be Prime (AIO) and AJ (SG). The AJ is easier to work with (less fussy) than SG. Never used the Acrylic Glos, but my guess is it may be more like Sonus Acrylic Spritz than the Glanz.

You`re not missing anything that I can see.

thanks, guys, I appreciate it. His website descriptions are way too brief, IMO.

I see that most are applying the AJ by hand. I`ve always applied SG with my PC and a finishing pad and have had huge success with that technique. Any reason I can`t/shouldn`t apply the AJ by machine??

    Thx.

I have lots of AIO but very little SG. I also have a full bottle of AJ. Is it okay to use AIO and replace the SG by using AJ over the AIO? I also wait 24 hours between my three coats of SG. Is there a wait or cure time for AJ?

Tom-- I don`t see any reason that you couldn`t apply the AJ by PC using a finishing pad just like you used to with SG.

AJ is not buffer friendly. Apply it by hand with a foam application. Working a section at a time, spread around a small amount then continue to work it with light pressure until it clears out, then remove the excess. Comes off real easy that way.

Long live the AJ, I don`t have prime yet but have tried buffing AJ on with edge white pad

Seemed to dry to a hard plasticky looking coating

My usual method is spray and wipe using a standard MF to apply with a little pressure and monster fluffy or clearkote yellow MF to finish

Instant slickness and strong protection and I use it on trim as well

It makes trim slightly darker and protects it very well, adds some gloss too

using it on my top spoiler, it has gone from charcoal to black and now I can see my reflection in it
Car care/detailing sadly isn`t high on the agenda for 98% of australians.
