Since we currently have a water ban (Due to town not replacing leaking water lines) I thought thats what my taxes were for? .........:argue I was excited to try a line of products that doesn`t need the old wash buckets and hose.

My Wife has a 2009 Lexus IS 250 AWD that desperately need a thorough cleaning. (I didnt have a chance to polish or protect with the HD POXY, thats coming later this week)

    Here is the car before.

First step was washing with the HD Free. Cleans VERY well, leaves a great slick shine and smells great! I didn`t see any marring from the crud that was stuck to the car. Since the car is a dark metallic gray, I was extra careful when wiping.I probably used more product then I really needed to, but wanted to be safe. I wipes streak free as long as you wipe it before it dries. Here is a 50/50 shot.

Once the paint was clean I moved to the tires and wheels.

I used the HD Total. Man does this stuff clean! Its my favorite!

Wheels before and after. I did use a long handled brush to aggitate.

I dressed with the HD GEL. Great product thats leaves a clean black shine that isn`t to glossy (I did wipe off after 5 minutes)

    Now on to the interior.....

The HD TOTAL cleaned the nasty floor-mats with just a little agitation using a stiff brush

Nothing the HD TOTAL couldn`t handle.

HD TOTAL is a fantastic cleaner, it cleaned all the plastic and leather surfaces and left a nice clean matte finish with no streaks. (I used HD FREE on the NAV screen and wood trim)

Some spilled coffee on the door leather

Agitated with the HD interior DUO PAD (white side) Nice soapy action that wipes off with no residue!

I treated all the leather and other surfaces with the HD PROTECT using the red side of the DUOPAD.

Wipes on and buffs off leaving a natural look to all surfaces.

Now on to the tail pipes using the HD METAL. Thanks to Obama we are getting our state roads re surfaced..... I think my Wife`s car had 5 lb. of loose tar on it, including the tailpipes!

I pre cleaned with HD TOTAL then polished with the HD METAL. They came out great. Polish is very similar to wurth polish. Very creamy but wipes off easy.

Those are the products I used shown in the back up camera.

    HD FREE

    Pros:

    Smells great

    Cleans VERY well

    Leaves a nice slick feel

    Great shine

    No water wasted

    Cons:

maybe I used to much but it took me a 1/4 of the bottle to wipe the car down.

    Would buy again 4/5

    HD TOTAL

    Pros:

    Cleans everything

No need to rinse with water

    Cons

Again I think I used to much as 1/2 the bottle is gone.

    Would buy again

    5/5

    HD PROTECT

    Pros:

    Smells great once dried

Leaves a natural look to leather

Can control how much shine wanted by wiping or leaving dry.

A little goes a long way

    Not slippery on seats

    Cons:

    Nothing

Will buy again if I ever run out.

    5/5

    HD GEL

    Pros:

    Great look

    easy application

    Cons:

    None yet

I don`t know how it will hold up so I cant comment on durability

    Would buy again

    4/5

    DUOPADS

    Pros:

Great cleaning action and pretty stiff.

cleans on one side and protects with the other

    Cons:

To big for some areas (I guess I could cut a small piece off for tight areas)

Don`t think I will need to buy another set as these feel like they will last.

    4/5

    HD METAL

    Pros:

Easy wipe on and wipe off

    Great polishing action

    Cons

    None

    Would buy again if needed

    5/5

    Nice pictorial, Jon. Thank you.

As an FYI, I`m finding that after the first use of HD FREE, the car cleans up much easier the next time, with less product. Also, the cost of the product goes way down when you purchase the concentrate -- $7 vs. $12 -- and a 6 pak of concentrate brings the price down to $5 per bottle with no shipping cost. We really want people to buy the concentrate, not the ready-to-use.

Yes. Both HD FREE waterless wash and HD TOTAL degreaser/soil remover were designed to be spray and wipe products.

    Thanks,

Why not use this winter for a quick cleaning with no cold water to freeze your hands and ice the driveway?

I cant wait to see how it tackles a New England winter.:spot

Maybe I am just old fashioned, but I dont see this replacing *my* water wash routine. It just looks like it would take a ton more time than washing with water, and dirty up tons more MF`s.

That being said, the results are nice.

If the environmentalists get their way you won`t have much of a choice unless you wash your car inside a garage where you won`t be seen. I plan on buy the 64oz Pro version to use days when my car is just a little dusty and I can get buy using it. I don`t mind getting 4-5 MF`s dirty in the process.
