Foam Gun causing more harm than good?

So got mine last week and washed the car this weekend with it. Put 2 oz of SSS, set it to the lowest setting, got a bucket with some SSS in it and took out my chenille mit.

I had a feeling that this wouldn`t be enough suds after I finished doing the car. Well today I saw the car in the sunlight and yup...swirls...

Think I should put it to like the 2nd setting for more soap?

Yes, experiment with the ratios but also, highly consider multiple sheepskin mitts. Do not rush the washing process. With the foam gun flowing solution over the finish, ( don`t just foam up the finish and then go with the mitt)focus on a part of a panel at a time, very delicately whisking with mitt. Change to a new mitt pretty often.Don`t be afraid to have to go back and make another pass to completely remove all of the dirt, better to do two delicate passes than one more aggressive, possibly marring inducing, pass.

Am wondering if you added any water to the mix or only added two ounces of soap alone?

I used my soap gun on my wife`s car the other day. Thought that the lowest setting was not giving me enough soap so I changed it. More is better when it comes to my soap gun. I do not think that I have ever washed my vehicle and not instilled some swirls.

Re: Foam Gun causing more harm than good?

I think there are going to be many methods found and discussed which will hopefully give each us some insight into the best ways to use the foam gun.
First when I did my review of it, I continued to use my two buckets, three mitts, a wheel brush and a tire brush. It`s a tool and can be manipulated into doing what you want within reason. Here`s how I got my results:

    1) filled 2 buckets 1 with 1/2 of Super Slick & Suds added three mitts into the foam to soak....

    2) rinsed off the Tahoe with just plain water

    3) added 2 ounces of Super Slick & Suds into the empty container

    4) put it on the smallest brass hole ...pulled the trigger and out came suds...lots of them I considered this step a pre-wash and made sure the soap was everywhere, sort of like Nourah`s review, but soapier.

    5) then normal washing with my chenille cotton wash mitts (with a pair of 6 year olds)

    6) disconnected the foam gun and rinsed the vehicle

    My Thoughts:

I think everyone will have differences seen from soap product to soap product as far as suds, detergent content and slickness go and also the factors of dilution and minerals in the water (hard water) will all be variables to yield different results even with similar technique.
It can`t be expected that this is just miracle product that will protect finishes:no: it`s a tool to be used in conjunction with other tools, to achieve better results.

I added 2 oz of car wash cleaner, then filled the container with
water to about the halfway line.

Seemed to produce more than enough suds, and enough product in
    container to due 2 cars.

    Just my 2 cents.
