I just recently tried NXT and was very impressed with this wash. Everything about it was fantastic. I`ve been interested in trying Poorboy`s also and was curious if anybody has both and what the preference is?

My only expereince with PB car shampoos were the prototypes
he sent me. Both were pretty good cleaners, but one of them
was much more gentler on protected surfaces than the other.
I believe that is the version that is currently offered.
NXT, also does a very good job of cleaning, but I think it may be
a wee bit more aggressive. Beading of the paint and the level of
slickness seems to drop a lot quicker with this product versus the PB
shampoo.
So based on this small information, I would personally go with
The PB`s instead.
Poorboy`s tends to be a bit slicker and gentler.
I like it better for *my* cars rather than clients. NXT would be good in the winter if your car gets very dirty.
Just my opinion though.
I agree with the above comments about slickness and gentleness - in addition I prefer Slick n Suds as it smells nicer!

I haven`t tried the Poorboys, but for me the NXT soap, while excellent, is about the 3rd or 4th best Meguiar`s car wash. In order I prefer Gold Class (least favorite smell though), then #62, then #00, then NXT.
Advice: use up what you have before you buy more, or you`ll be like me, with enough car wash concentrate to do your cars and all the neighbors cars once a week for the next five years....
LOL, of course do whatever you want!

I`ve used both and have settled with PB based on quality and price....I found that PB kept its suds longer and seemed to have that cleaning feel longer....that was hard to put in words......The NXT didn`t seem to give me back that slickness that I was looking for threw the whole wash, was like it was breaking down quicker....that`s my take on it....I`ve settled on PB for that reason

Mosca: Can you share why you like Gold Class the best of Meguiar`s washes?
Thanks.
I have had great luck with the PB SS. However, as has been pointed out elsewhere, you really need to pay attention to the soap:water ratio to get the best results. I completely agree about it being very gentle on your wax coat.

I`ve used both and it`s hard to say which I like better. You certainly don`t have to use much with either soap, SS&S does smell great but NXT also has a nice scent. Maybe you can get a sample of the PB`s from another member. It is very gentle on the paint. Great stuff.
Hoping the weather gets warmer again
I can`t seem to find the NXT wash anywhere around here. I swore Wal-Mart here had it.......I`ll have to keep looking.....

Zaino Z-7 is a good soap to use for tough cleaning jobs-has a lot of "bite".

nxt is good for moderate to heavy cleaning jobs i thnk it does have alot of bite stripping your sealant and lacking in slickness. Which is ironic since NXT wax doesnt last long.
True, GC does wash out a lot easier!Originally Posted by joyriide1113

really? I was under the impression that NXT lasted a decent amoutn of time. It should at least last longer that a pure wax since its polomer right?Originally Posted by bren wrx
