PB`s Trim Restorer VS. Forever Black Trim Restorer

Anyone ever compared these products? I read about Forever Black on PAC, anyone know which one would be better? The Forever Black comes with a cleaner, and an applicator.

    Thanks,
    Matt

I have tried both. Forever black has some type of dye in it and can be very messy. I would only use Forever black on old and discolored trim and PB`s on trim in good condition. If I was going to get just one I would get the PB`s.

I have also tried both and agree with carazy`s assessment.

I`ve never used the Forever Black product, so no comparison. I will point out that PB`s TR is recommended for textured trim vs. smooth surface. I don`t believe that TR has any cleaning properties. TR has not proved as durable as I had hoped. Other than the short lifespan, the product performs as advertised, making it (IMO) a pretty decent product, but not one of Steve`s greatest (of course most his products have the bar raised fairly high )

Well i wanted to use it on my faded cowl cover, and my faded side mirrors. I was just hoping to bring some life back into them, heck, how about mother`s Back to Black?

Remove the cowl/mirror and paint it semi black. I`ve read on autopia that some people have given up on trim restoreres(sp?) not that they don`t work they just don`t last because of the harsh conditions they go through.

Forget about the Mother`s Back to Black ...
If your mirrors and cowl are smooth instead of grained you might be able to restore them using AIO or Poorboys Pro Polish. I had a Jimmy with smooth black mirrors and that is what I used to bring them back to life. If they are grained, unless you repaint them, I reccomend the TR.
I haven`t really found a product for grained trim that satisfies me 100%.

TR lasts a while on grained trim, on smooth rubber, not too good, but then again, not much is...
