Review: A Bunch of the New Meguiar`s "Stuff"

I recently received a bunch of Meguiar’s products and accessories to test and review. Must have been because I’m an old guy who has been using Meguiar’s products since 1970. Heck, I even used #16 when it was just a wax rather than a carnauba topper. Although I have been messing with polishing vehicles in a rather obsessive manner all of my life, my condition has worsened since I started hanging out on these detailing forums. Rather than messing with new ways to use the products and accessories that I was sent, I used them just as the directions on the packages indicated. All of the products had very clear directions. A beginner should have no trouble at all following them.

I’ve tested all of these products and accessories on both my 2003 black Dodge Hemi and my wife’s 2002 Silver Toyota Tacoma. Both trucks are driven daily over ten miles of gravel roads. Both are garaged at night. Both are very well maintained. I’ve used NXT wax on them for over a year.

The products and accessories with my subjective evaluation:
+ -- An excellent product or accessory
    o – Nice to have
    - -- In my opinion, forget it

+ Versa Angle Wheel Brush – short handle
    + Versa Angle Tire Brush
+ Versa Angle Wheel Face Brush
    + Ultra Plush Wash Mop
    + Versa Angle Body Brush
+ Versa Angle Wide Body Brush
    + Slide Lock Detail Brush
    +Triple Duty Detail Brush
    o Duo-Fiber Glass Towel
    + Water Magnet Drying Towel
+ Ultra Plush Super Terry Towels
    + Ultra Plush Wash Mop
    o Microfiber Quick Detail Pad
    o All Wheel Cleaner
    o NXT Tire Cleaner
    + NXT Shampoo
    + NXT Glass Cleaner
+ NXT Paste Wax (applied and removed by hand)
    + Exterior trim Detailer
    + Quick Interior Detailer
    + NXT Speed Detailer

I am especially pleased with the new brushes. They are easy to use and they caused absolutely no marring on either vehicle.

My overall review in one sentence – “Meguiar’s has done good.” Over the years, I have tried products and accessories from many different companies. I always seem to come back to Meguiar’s

2 white Tacomas and 2 black Harleys. I got half-way smart.

I`ve only used the chenelle wash mit but I`d like to get all the brushes. This is the only wash mit I`ve used where it doesn`t hold ANY dirt. I usually throw away my mits after 3-4 washes, but I`ve used this one for about 8 now and there is no sign of it holding any dirt.
    Teflon is for frying pans.

Anybody know if this is something that Wally world/ auto parts stores will be stocking or is it a mail order only?

If you have a local Pep Boys, try them.
