    adams BSG

got my shipment of adams todaya nd when readong the instructions on the bsg it says to use between waxing. now? does that mean i can use it before everycoat of wax just like i would a normal glaze being applied before a carnuba? and is it stating its ok to use as a qd?

does it also mean it has no abrasives to mess with the underlying sealants?

    joy -

I don`t think it has any abrasives. I would assume it`s use would be that of a normal glaze; to go on before a wax, but after polishing. I have, however, heard some peeople using it as a QD. I am finding it to be a bit tempermental to use, but I do like the results under a wax.

Believe it freshens each layer, so you could use it after maybe 1 month or two on top of Butter Wax. I`d just do 1 layer and see what else I want after.

    Re: adams BSG

spoke with adam today and he says it has some very mild cleaners in it. so i guess i would just use it once before a wax and repeat every month followed by another coat of wax.. that way even tho it might clean some of the previous layer of wax off, it`ll still be followed by a new coat of wax...

what do y`all think about them apples???

    Re: adams BSG

From what I recall from older/gone threads, BSG should not be used as a qd.
It was said that BGS removes some of the lsp each time it`s used. This 1-reduces the lifespan of the lsp, but 2-"cleans it up" so it looks freshened up. Using it 1 time before each new coat of wax should help prolong the time between polishings.
It shouldn`t clean off all the previous lsp.
It was also recommended to not be used on oxidixed/poor shape finishes.

(As an aside...cleaners can be abrasive or chemical in nature, so even if something didn`t have abrasives, it could still remove, or "disolve" some of the previous layer.)
Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult!
