After reading many writeups and references to ONR wash I decided I needed a gallon.

I guess I wasn`t too confident when I made a wash mix today and noticed it didn`t have any suds. So, I decided to give a quick rinse of a car panel before applying the soaked ONR MF to it. It was very slippery...although I had layers of FK`s# 1016, 146, 425 on it already...and it didn`t seem to scratch the surface. BTW, this was in full noon sunlight and found no problems with waterspots. Did a quick spritz with 425 as I wiped the panel with a WW-MF towel and it looked nice & clean. It did seem to take a little time to develop a glossy appearance....it was very very slick to the touch after a few minutes (more so than my previous regimen of 1016 wash + 425 wipe down.) I took my time doing the whole car and made good use of rung out ONR MFs to wipe up water drops on the wheels (previoiusly cleaned before the whole car).

Also had a mix of ONR QD mix (6 caps to 1 gallon) and seemed to be a good substitute for FK 146. I used it spritzed on a clean MF to wipe the inside of windows and mirrors.

In the end, I did use less water than my previous washes and it was great since I had no choice but to wash in direct sunlight today. I highly recommend this product. :2thumbs:

I haven`t used shampoo on my car for 3 months now. Love the ONR!

Yes, ONR isn`t meant to create suds. It is the exact opposite.

I do 99% of my washing with ONR. I hate conventional washing compared to using ONR.

I`ve been very happy with ONR. Im probably not as quick as some of the others at washing with it, so I only use it when it`s too cold to wash outside or I dont` feel like cracking out the foamgun.

I use 2 buckets (1 with ONR, the other for rinsing). This method works well for me. although I`ve got to get some more WW Drying towels as I go through them quite quickly when using the blotch technique. Usually as im almsot finished drying a panel, I`ll switch to a plush MF towel, spritz the panel with OCW, and finishing drying it in this method. Works very well for me.

My car 05 RX8 has seen Water wash only 3 times. The rest ONR or DP`s WW. No problems except the color of my ONR turned grayish. Called them up they said it was still ok to use and this was normal. ONR for me ZOOM-ZOOM----------

I`m going to pick up some for this winter (and maybe even winter-prep details); I`ve used QEW in the past , but want to try ONR very soon.

I also love the No Rinse. I use it all the time. When I need more, I just take it out of stock!

Anyone find it affects RainX performance? It seemed to flatten out the beads on my glass and didnt work as well.

Why did you use ONR on the glass instead of just body panels?

I always use ONR on the windows when I wash my car with it.. :nixweiss IMO it seems to do quite a nice job on dirty windows. I don`t use Rain-X though, so I can`t comment on that.

My question would be why not use it on the glass? I use ONR on anything and everything and I love it. I also find using ONR helps hold the look of a "freshly" detailed car more so than when I use my foamgun...probably just my own opinion however no evidence to back it up.

My favorite part is following the ONR with a waffle weave, as almost everything is lifted off the paint anyways so there is minimal water to dry off.
