This is something that seems like it would work well for me. I am really drawn to the dust-repelling... On a black car that is a GOLDEN quality!!!

MDRX8, I think that #21 is one of the best product overall in my arsenal. Forgiving, honest, easy product with very good balance. Besides, I`m loving its look.

You know, I just talked to a guy at Meguiar`s and ge told me that NXT is the consumers version of the #21 Synthetic Sealant... He said there would be no visual diferrence between the two...

Jokes, I SERIOUSLY doubt that. NXT hardly lasts. #21 is so much more versatile, you can apply it via rotary I think.

I put #21 on my daily driver that sits outside 24/7 about 3 1/2 months ago. Since that time it has had numerous touchless tunnel washes which I know use very strong detergents as well as many wand type diy washes.

Through all this abuse the stuff still beads and looks great. It is a very good product for someone who doesn`t wax/seal their vehicle frequently. Also excellent appearance.

I bought it last fall and could only get the large jug. I`ve since given numerous small bottles away.

I think that OPS is a great base for #21. I`m not sure I`d top that great OPS slickness though...

I also think that the Megs guy said "it is *basically* the same". They have different chemistries and they look different. NXT has (I`m using the paste) a fantastic reflective quality, while #21 has a characteristic silvery cleanliness. Hard formulate an exact expression for the two effect; it is the best when you try to top them with each other. Then you`ll see the subtle nuances between the two.

My NXT paste performs really well in the durability department also. 4 easy months - but at the end the water film breaks up quite reluctantly. Don`t let the sheeting fool you. Just wait a bit, and the pooling water will suddenly break up - showing that the polymers are still active. Count on one more month with the #21.
