have you watched any videos about using the porter cable? like from mike phillips? if not watch a couple there on main page of autogeek.net left hand side says how to videos or something then click on on the porter cable link, gives some pretty good tips about using a DA polisher, just practice some more, as todd said vw has fairly hard paint so you will need to work product longer,and add more pressure use the scale trick i mentioned in my thread.
