Every once in awhile, I think of some of the things I do just out of habit that have worked well for me over the years, and I do mean years. `I`m 62 years old and I`ve been detailing cars since I was in my twenties and I work every day, often six days a week.`

    `

Sometimes, more often now than a few years ago, during the course of the day, I start to feel tired and start slowing down. `There are a couple of ways of handling it. `One is, take a short break, get a bite to eat - just a bite, not a meal - a drink of water and sit for a minute. `Since I`m a one man show, I take the calls, schedule the work and do the work. `During that kind of break is when I return phone calls and take care of scheduling. `

    `

The other way of getting over being tired is to work harder and faster. `When you move fast enough to raise your heart rate and have to breathe harder and break a sweat, your body releases the fuel stored in your fat and your available energy increases. ` You`ll feel better and get more done. `At some point working at that rate, just breaking a sweat can become a habit that makes the work get done a lot faster and better, because better energy means better concentration and efficiency too.

    `

    All the best,

    Robert

When I detail a car, I work hard and sweat. At the end of the day I`m tired and still fat. Now what?
