Hey guys, good to see everything is back up and running again. Question- I have a customer of mine who has run into about 4 gallons of yellow road paint, is in the wheel wells, all over the roll pans, quarter panels, etc. I have tried wetsanding it with 1000 grit, and have gotten nowhere. I`ve tried lacquer thinner, plastic razors, etc. Any suggestions? Should I try a more aggresive paper?

Just kind of at a loss with this I suppose. I`ve heard vaseline might work?

    Thanks guys!

    Zac

The Vaseline is an easy try. Just let it dwell for at least 8 hours.

I ran thru the yellow line paint right after the lines being painted one afternoon and the next day I just used the pressure washer. It worked great it just came right off, but maybe because it wasnt even on 24 hrs. Nothing great just thought I`d throw out my expierience. Good luck !

Acetone (nail polish remover) works great for removing road paint. Will never damage car`s paintwork.

Works great on my customers` cars.

Keep the paint wet with acetone for 1min, and rub with a scotchbrite scouring pad if the affected part is plain dirty plastic in the wheel well/arch area (wheel arch liner).

For paintwork, just use an old MF.

    Note:

Use with caution in any interior painted plastic parts - might cause paint to go hazy though.
