How many of you guys are actually paying a monthly/yearly fee as forum sponsors such as (Ferrari/Lamborghini/Audi forums, Teamspeed, 6speedonline) ?

Has there been any good responses so far? Some of them are actually $125 a month.

Let me know your thoughts, I`m actually thinking about it!

if you are selling products nation wide-it`s worth it.

if you are just looking for local business, put your money into a local forum. i`ve been sponsoring forums for a long time now (about 4 years) and if you finesse the owner with something free-they typically cut you a good deal.

i am about to pull the trigger on a BMW forum where I cant post work up, get or send PMs, and cant promote without being a sponsor...there are a lot of people asking for my info and what not on there...its going to be 179 a month...I`ll try it out for 3 months and see what kind of response I get! thats less than one car.

I sponsor another site and dont get much business from it, but I did just get one range rover today and puts me at almost even since october. about to cancel that one if things dont pick up, but I have to do my due diligence as I havent done a write up on here or there in over a month...

i sponsor a local/state truck scene forum. it really hasn`t raked in any gigs for me, just a lot of how much to do this. However it`s cheap only 10-15$ a month.

local forums are difficult. you have your "know it alls" and such that will undermind you every step of the way. and then the simple fact that only about 5% of car enthusiasts will let someone else touch their car.

i think it depends on what kind of market you are in... i find it to be much easier if you own a car that belongs to that forum... be a `member` first before a `vendor`. you gain more trust and ease your way in better. You can always team up with local reputable vendor(s) that are already on the forum and do a promo to break in from there.
