I like to think that I am a pretty crafty, capable, artistic, witty, handsome kinda guy, (ok. I may have exaggerated a bit there) who is capable of designing a logo for my mobile detailing business, but then I look at some of the outstanding designs out there and I realize that I might need some help in the logo department.

What did you do for your logo? Did you farm it out to a pro? Or did you make your own? Did you do a work trade for it?

I am thinking about maybe making an "open source logo thread" where people can post their design ideas, view others ideas, use them as they wish free of charge, modify them, critique them, ect... Would this be against any forum rules? Good idea or bad? Someone smack me down before I spend too much time thinking about this and not enough time on my detailing work.

An interesting option. Their icon selection seems a bit limited though. Is that the service that you used to create your logo?

Limited? There a ton! Dont limit yourself to "category".......search around.

If I was a photoshop or Dreamweaver expert I would have used those......

What ever you do, don`t go with the overused silhouette of a car design. Yes, find a professional to design one for you.

I like your logo brad. I am thinking I will hire a professional.

And yes, I was thinking of going with the overused silhouette of a car.

There are good sources on a site called guru.com and check your local craigslist. most of which will be college students but they can turn out some neat stuff for cheap.
