Chad, if I still lived in my hometown of Brevard, I would drive out to see this Windshield equipment.

While I do not have 800 dollars right now, I am VERY interested in what you have and the actual

value of this equipment.` This is the next set of services that I will be adding on to my detail business.

    Hi bunkeroo26!

I`m willing to negotiate on price. I`d much rather see someone using this equipment and knowing its being taken care of than it just sitting doing nothing. $850 is a steal if you know anything about WSR equipment. I have a lot to offer for the right price. So, let me know.

Yes! The WSR industry has been by far the best industry I`ve had the privilege of being a part of. My best advice...Train, Train, Train and get Certification.

    Do customers check certification?

Does certification make it easier, be easier to deal with insurance

companies, meaning are you more likely to be allowed

to do claims work with it?

Or are you suggesting certification solely to be more proficient?

Does certification mean that you can charge more, also I figure

it would make one stand or from the normal ding guys.

I know little of the ding industry. If you don`t mind sharing some

of your knowledge, I would love to look at all aspects of this before

    I jump in.

My best advice is this and personally how I view the subject. Certification doesn`t necessarily mean you know what you`re doing. I was both certified by Delta Kits as a Certified Windshield Repair Technician via their equipment which I have for sale, I was also certified by the National Windshield repair association or NWRA. unfortunately the NWRA Is supposed to be the voice and back bone for the industry or at least that`s how it was back in the day. Now, more and more are seeking certs through the NGA.

Certs to me, showed my customers that I take pride in my work and my industry so that I would go the extra mile to be certified, not only by the industry but as well as the manufacturer of my equipment. I feel it does give you an advantage when dealing with competition and before to lo g, the networks are going to make it a demand to have or you will not be able to join the networks to file insurance.

Which in my opinion is a great idea, it will put a stop to the threat of "Fly-by-night" shops going crappy repairs.

Justin, gross and profits depends non your geographical area, cost of living in your area, your ability to deliver optimal repairs the first time and a good strategically planned marketing platform .
