I deal with alot of cars (DD) that have permanet damage/discoloration on the carpet. I am considering auto carpet dying. Do any of you guys offer this and what is the price range I should ask for the extra service?

Lots of different ways to tackle that one. The SEM spray can dye is the most common and also the cheapest to get into. Dosen`t last to long on the carpeting and usually I see about $15-$20 per section charges on that. Then there`s the AutoQual version that uses HPLV gun`s and spray`s on new dyes to perfect matches. Obviously more expensive to get into but more money on the bottom of the bill too. I think if you do a lot of interior work it`s almost a must to have something in the means of re-dying the carpeting. Missing out on a lot of real easy money not having it.

Carpet sets are between 99.00 dollars and 150.00 dollars on line. They are not that expensive to solve the problem once and for all. If you spray anything from a spray can you run the risk of dusting the rest of the car. There are people who dye carpet as a profession.

yeah I was thinking the same thing...$300 or so and you can remove the seats and the console and recarpet most cars...MOST CARS, obviously its much more expensive on some...but at that point, you are charging your hourly rate
