So every lunch I take a walk around the downtown area-and i pass probably 20+ parking lots. I was curious, is it rude or smart to drop a business card under the windshield wiper of all the cars in the un-attended lots? Anyone have any success with doing this OR have you had success contacting the lot managers and establishing a detailing day for them?

talk to the property owners if you want to get into car washing in those spots! I doubt you will be able to just show up and wash 10 cars in a day.

but the handing out of the cards is a good idea...I do it all the time, and while I dont book too many that way, it takes very little effort for me to reach in my wallet, pull out a card and place it on the driver side window (not the windshield), so why not! The more people hearing about my business the better! Heck I just did it to a hammered GTR the other day...I am hoping he/she calls!!! But then again, there is a lady who drives a RR phantom that is jacked up and she obviously doesnt care...

I like the idea of keeping cards in the pocket and putting them on cars who you think may fit your clientele.

Inevitably, it will tick some off tho.

I call it "cold-carding". I do it every Sunday at the local Costco, Lowes, and the Mall.

LOL, good to have the support, just wanted to make sure this wasn`t seen as taboo in the field.
