If I wanted to remove pollen or dust I would move up to a waterless wash.
I dont think its sand particles that always leaves swirls, something as fine as dust is probably the cause more often then not.

Im kind of the same way--- I usually end up RW (one bucket method) as I am always worried I am touching the paint too much if wiping down with a QD or WW- plus I guess Im lazy and dont like flipping the towels a lot when I can just do the whole hood with one quartered towel and then glide my PFM drying towel over the hood and clean up the left over residue no problem
NOW I find myself worried RW might slightly scratch it and am considering going to more of an Accumulator style wash (yet I dont think I could do it Exactly the same way- my water bill is high enough already)

My wash method *DOES* go through a lot of water, and a lot of shampoo. Definitely not for everybody, maybe not for most Autopians. AFAIK Bill D is the only person here who even approximates it (the currently MIA, and sorely missed, Superbee364 did a variation on it too), and he doesnt let his cars get nearly as dirty as I do.
(If anybody else here is doing it my way, my apologies for not remembering and please post about it.)
You would not believe my water bill, simply exorbitant.

Yep, I proudly wash with my variation of Accumulators method. My 10 Accord has had zero marring since new and I never had to polish it.![]()

Thats the way!
I cant even remember the last time I had to do a full-vehicle correction, other than on something new-to-me.
Glad to see the apstrophe issue isnt just at my end...Heh heh, this is like the old days of the Mark Trail comic strip where hardly anybody used contractions![]()

As a drying aid, after washes to clean up any water spots that appear and door jambs is pretty much the extent of my use of Quik Detailer.
