This was only my 3rd time to attempt detailing. I used Zaino (z7, z6, and z2) with Stoners IG on the windows and Vinylex on the exterior plastic and wheels. What do you think?

You`re going to spend a mint in masking/painters` tape over the lifetime of the vehicle It will probably balance out, considering you won`t need as much paint prep/protection product.

Congrats on the job well done and on a good vehicle choice!

In a couple of months, the Element is going to start looking very dangerous to my wallet. Honda is finally allowing us to shift our own in the 4WD version.

Looks great hayless, I love that color. If the Element had been released a year or so earlier, I`m sure my fiancee would have one.

Thanks for all of the compliments!

    scottabir,

Yeah, the plastic isn`t that tough. An MF and some vinylex and it`s done. It`s acutally much easier, IMO, to dry and care for the plastic than a painted surface.

    thinksnow,

yeah, I should buy stock in 3M...wait I sorta already am

Yeah, my wife and I are pleased with the Element so far. It handles great, has a great sound system, and tons of room. I don`t like the orange peel in the paint however

    AkronSi,

I wouldn`t worry, I`m sure the Element will be around for years to come. It`s a great vehicle.

    Thanks again for the support.

I tried the Vinylex a week ago and it is starting to steak a little after getting some rain on it. It looked real good but I don`t think it is the top choice considering the streaking. I`m going to try to Klasse AIO and post my results in a week of so. I did the dash with the Vinylex a it looks great with no change.
