A friend of mine bought this car late last fall. He said the dealer tried to buff out some scratches before he picked it up. He wanted to know if I could "fix" it. The buffed out areas where the scratches were was all hazy. The car was heavily swirled.

Nice work! The paint looks exceptionally more glossy and wet!

Dealer`s should take away their detailing option as it does more harm than good most of the time.

wow look at the difference! That is a good looking red! You would think a dealer could do a better job than that, look like some nasty buffer marks, its sad whe the consumer can do a MUCH better job and can get a much better looking finish, it should have looked like the after photos when it left the lot!

    Looks great!

Did it really darken the finish or is that just the picture?

    Dealer prep = pure evil

Steve-first pics are in more direct sunlight, but removing rotary swirls does make the paint look darker.

    BTW, outstanding work Vincent.

Scottwax is right about the lighting. Before pics were taken at 10:00am after at 3:30pm. The first pics had more direct sunlight. It definately made a difference in the color. It was really washed out. Some spots were awful. It looked like they used TW rubbing compound to remove scratches and left it as is. I`m in Stoughton(20 miles from Madison).

Those swirls are very similar to what was done to my beautiful Lapis Blue Mazda6 today by the bodyshop. Now I get to fix their mistakes. Nice work. Looks so much better!
